  1. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5hIsA-tp...EMYCpgD914S2TG0 Little surprised by this. I really wanted to see him fight Cotto, the De La Hoya sequel was a joke. He would of destroyed Oscar again. I thought Cotto had the best chance at beating Floyd. I know Mayweather would of been the favorite but he's never fought anyone who works the body like Miguel. Hatton fought a terrible fight against Floyd, he just kept trying to head hunt.
  2. As a Laker fan I obviously can't stand the Celtics but I will give them their props on winning the East. I thought Detroit would win the series TBH. GL but GO LAKERS!
  3. I don't think Bobby V would come back anyways. I was watching a recent piece ESPN did on him and he seems pretty content in Japan where he's treated like a god. If Willie were to get canned I think Mazzilli would probabaly be the best choice.
  4. http://www.giants.com/player/?file_300=htt...swmext%3D%2Easx This is from last month, he talks about the weight gain from last year that I mentioned earlier among other things. Sounds like he's been working out a lot in the offseason and I get the impression his recent weight gain isn't the result of inhaling ho-ho's hehe.
  5. Thanks, I wish I could say I made it but it was the same guy who made the bradshaw sigs.
  6. I remember from reading training camp reports last summer that he looked a bit small. Later on during the season it was reported that he gained 15-20lbs of muscle and he looked bigger than he did during the summer. Now he's gained another 20? Wow.
  7. The greatest hitting catcher of all-time. I liked him before he came to New York so I was obviously ecstatic when we got him. Props to him on a great career. :worshippy: Class act
  8. If he does come back for another year I would hope he doesn't get to skip training camp again. I love the guy but I wasn't a fan of him skipping training camp last season. Even if it's a decreased workload, he has to atleast show up IMO especially if the rumors are true that he wants that amount of money for one year.

  10. You want it to get back to football then don't make antagonizing comments.
  11. What exactly did Jordan win before he attained the role players necessary to win multiple rings in Chi-town? Magic needed Kareem, Worthy, Cooper on D. Bird needed Mchale, Parish, DJ etc.
  12. Jordan never made the playoffs with Washington while still averaging over 20 pts per.
  13. Jesus he's a beast. Congrats to him.
  14. A contender doesn't make you a champ in basketball dude, it's not the same as other sports especially in this day and age of basketball, ask Allen Iverson.
  15. For the record, after Shaq left the Lakers we had a winning record when Kobe scored 50+ points.
  16. Don't shoot the messenger gents http://blog.nj.com/ledgergiants/2008/05/ev...about_sh_2.html
  17. I understand your logic and you make a good point but whiney cancerous players, unless they change their attitude are IMO just as bad.
  18. Whiney bitches are just as detrimental to a team as thug felons. Granted T.O wasn't really a distraction this past season because things went well during the regular season but I have no doubt if things start going bad he'll revert to his old ways of being the asshole we all love to hate .
  19. what I meant was in no other team sport do you depend more on your supporting cast than in basketball, there's only 5 starters. So you don't think Andrew Bynum who has greatly improved the past couple years playing along side Kobe is not good? I don't blame you for hating Kobe if your a Suns fan, it's expected and I don't like Steve Nash as much as anyone in the league with the exception of the entire roster of the Boston Celtics.
  20. Basketball is the ultimate team sport, for the first time since Shaq left Kobe has actually had a championship caliber team surrounding him and his scoring went down and he won the MVP. During our 3peat we had the perfect role players to compliment Shaq and Kobe. Everyone thinks it was all Shaq, granted I think in his prime he was the best big man ever (sorry Wilt) but in basketball you need those complimentary players. Jordan won nothing until Scottie Pippen started blossoming into a great player and the Bulls of the 90's also had several of the best role players in the NBA (Kerr, Grant, Kucoc, Rodman etc) Look at the Spurs and how deep they are, same thing.
  21. Who you mean the NBA MVP? The Manningham was from a jersey switch I did. http://www.sportswrath.com/index.php?showt...mp;#entry335775
  22. I wouldn't mind a vet like Spikes, though FTR whoever wrote that article messed up, Takeo actually had 86 total tackles. Weird that they would do that again, when he was first cut by the Eagles it was also reported by several sites that he had 139 tackles. He's never had that many in a season in his entire career, the closest he came to it was years ago when he was still in his prime but like I said out of that group he's the one I'd want the most.
  23. I know it's just the first day but it's nice to see that he looked impressive the rest http://www.nypost.com/seven/05092008/sport...camp_110162.htm
