  1. Idiot John Vilma saying the offensive line is doing okay today? Lol they've given up 4 sacks and have 4 penalties
  2. Our $51M Tight end can't catch a back shoulder against fucking Eli Apple
  3. Just make him the primary back from here on out, rest of this game.
  4. Good to see him playing and doing well for a franchise that's believes in offensive lines.
  5. Here comes our signature 3 and out on the 2nd drive of the game
  6. Just looking ahead towards next year at our needs on this team, if the first 4 games are any indication New starters needed: FS SS CB (Jackson is a FA) DL (Williams is a FA) Edge G G RT WR RB (least priority though) QB We have an estimated $43M in cap space (+$6M more if we cut Glowinski, and +$4M more cutting Slayton)
  7. What really grinds my gears is how other teams like Philly have been able to put together a GREAT OL, yet we can't even get close to below average. Sure they have Kelce and Lane Johnson, but they also developed Dickerson, pulled a high caliber LT Mailata out of their ass in the 7th round, Cam Jurgens was looking good until he just got hurt. Even the Chiefs. Take a guy like Joe Thuney, who they signed in 2021 to a big contract. Instead that offseason, we fucking sign Kenny Golladay, and insist continuing this farce of starting Guards of Will Hernandez and Lemieux (and insisting Will Hernandez be flanked at RT by fucking Nate Solder)....and fucking Billy Price at C. This OL stuff really gets me going. The incompetence. Coaching, the actual mentoring/teaching of the players might be a factor, but you don't go into a 2023 season with no competent guards to speak of, and wishful thinking on Neal and on a rookie JMS, and expect a good OL. You just don't bank on that. I ask again, did we really need Barkely and Leonard Williams, instead of two capable starting OL in the offseason? I don't get why anyone in the media, fans, etc are surprised the 2023 OL is garbage. It's really not a shocking result. It's an expected result. This is what happens when you leave 4 out of 5 OL positions to wishful thinking.
  8. With or without Barkely, Thomas, and JMS, we weren't beating the Dolphins.
  9. No Lemieux is a good thing. Addition by subtraction. As for JMS, way to get the guy injured on your stupid, failed scrum QB sneak play, Daboll....as if we needed any more gaps on this gap filled offensive line.
  10. Through the first two games this year dating back to the mid-season faltering last year, the giants have been 5-8-1 even with Barkley. It's a damn shame we've wasted this guy's career because we couldn't put together even an average OL in 6 years.
  11. We need to replace both Safety positions this offseason. McKinney isn't the answer. Pinnock is a backup at best. Same with Belton.
  12. Plus Carolina puts up 27 pts on them, but we can't get more than 3, while they're the 4th worst defense in the league.
  13. It's a good point. More broadly, I'll just say the whole team looks dysfunctional across offense, defense, and special teams, and for that it's definitely the coaching. The Giants talent isnt great but it's not as bad as they've shown. They're a 7-8 win team currently playing like a 3 win team.
  14. That's why I say, if Neal doesn't prove himself this year, we can't go in to 2024 expecting him to be a starter. We'd have to try to find a replacement, and just let him be a backup/swing tackle the remaining 2 years of his contract. Same with Ezeudu and Mckethan. If Neal competes in camp in 2024 and proves himself in a competition then it's icing on the cake.
  15. Honestly would Tyre Phillips really have been worse than this guy?
  16. He trash talks as well as he blocks
  17. Agreed. What has McKinney done? We never see him making plays. I liked Love better, and for 2 years $12M would've kept him.
  18. We really don't have great talent on defense. - Secondary: Pinnock and McKinney are sub par. We have two rookie corners who are starting, so there will be up and downs. Flott looks good on one play, then a dud on the next. Same with Holmes as well. Dane Belton seems to have been demoted on defense, so he's a backup at best. - LB: Okereke and McFadden are okay starters I guess. - DE/OLB: Thibs came on last game as a rusher, but overall the pass rush from anyone else hasn't been there, and they're abysmal vs the run - DT: Lawrence and Williams are good It's just a mediocre unit overall. Bottom 10 defensive talent.
  19. Unless I'm missing something, that's essentially the current base defense, except on obvious passing downs. Lawrence as NT, Leonard Williams four technique down lineman, plus a combination of Nunes-Roches, Robinson, Davidson, as the other four technique down lineman, with Thibs and Ojulari as OLBs. 3-4. Maybe they're just not doing enough of it?
  20. This is Evan Neal, not only spinning around in a circle and not blocking the defender, but also blocking his own teammate trying to block.
  21. Yes Daboll deserves blame as well. Plus I imagine he has input into the process to at least indicate what the needs are and who isn't good enough.
  22. The other funny thing is relying on Ezeudu to be the backup LT because Peart would be more of a disaster at LT, even though Ezeudu has given up what, 5 sacks in 2 games now? So the logic must have been that Peart can only be worse than this (plus somehow worse than Neal) I mean, Ezeudu, Peart, Lemieux...these are so obviously fucking practice squad caliber players at best right now; they're not even serviceable backups (which Seattle had but we did not). They don't belong on an nfl roster. Why are we clinging to fucking Peart and Lemieux???? The GM would have us believe this is the best they can do? My guess is at least Pugh would've been better this entire time at the very least.
  23. Yep. I get all that. That's DG, Jerry Reese style wishful thinking though. Hoping Bredeson, Glowinkski, Neal, and JMS were going to take leaps and be good. As I've been saying, you can get away with 1 maybe 2 of those kinds of guys IF the rest of your OL is good, which wasn't the case with the giants. It's going into the season with too many question marks on the OL; same approach of the last 10 years. Plus asshat Daboll or Kafka got JMS (and Belinger) injured on their stupid scrum play which failed.
  24. We didn't need to wait until 2024 to address the offensive line. Cutting Leonard Williams and not signing Barkley in 2023 would have given us over $22M in cap space to work with. More than enough to bring in two free agents.
  25. You Wanted to wait before addressing the offensive line?
