  1. Remember when we were abysmal vs the run last year, and the front office thought bringing in one LB in the off-season was going to make a significant difference?
  2. Sal Licata will be on wfan tomorrow swearing we're still a playoff team lol. Or he'll blame the injuries....as if the Seahawks aren't beaten up.
  3. I'm not sure why people (Aikman) say we were supposed to be better this year. We were 4-7-1 in the last 11 games last year. 5-9-1 through this year. At most we're an 8 win team if we lose today's
  4. WTF was that? Now Seattle gets the ball back with over a minute left!
  5. Always good to see our $32M D lineman get mauled by a rookie 4th round backup on a patchwork offensive line
  6. Did Michael-Schmitz get hurt? I just turned the game on and heard Bredeson in at center and Lemieux at LG.
  7. Tonight is another test for this offense and offensive line because the Seahawks not only are banged up on D going in but they've been a bottom of the barrel defense so far this season. Though our defense sucks too. I just can't see the giants going up and down the field with the Seahawks tonight, if the game gets into a high scoring match.
  8. Gettleman was the master of getting 1 thing right for every 4 things he got wrong. For instance, he got us Thomas, but he never filled in the other 4 OL positions. In general, I would play the young guys to see what we got. Keep going with Banks, Hawkins, but also we need to see more of Hyatt and Robinson (Slayton and Campbell aren't the future here), plus keep McKethan at RG, let's see what we have with Ezeudu at LG (Bredeson and Glowinski aren't much better, and aren't the future), put Eric Gray into the rotation at RB as well. Also more Riley at DT, and rotate Basham more into the mix on the DL as well. Barkley, Bredeson, Glowinski, Leonard Williams, Slayton, Campbell, etc aren't this team's future.
  9. Yes definitely. And I'm not expecting a quick turnaround, but I think it's realistic to hope they turn a corner by midseason, maybe game 6-7.
  10. Yes, spot on. I'm not trying to say Schoen hasn't tried. Just that it hasn't worked out thus far. I really hope Neal and one of these 2022 drafted guards puts it together, plus Schmitz.
  11. If Neal and Ezeudu don't show that they're solid starters this year, then you have to go into the 2024 offseason as if they're not capable of starting in 2024. Same for McKethan. Gettleman drafted OL and brought in several free agents as well.
  12. Ezeudu is an early 3rd rounder, so that should be a factor. I'm also not giving up on anyone yet, but I am planning on the possibility of them not being good. A lack of this type of planning is why we get the OL's that we do.
  13. Neal and Ezeudu are on the verge of busting, and Glowinski was always a low end starter at best (hence, he only signed for $6M per year) who's clearly regressed. But even then, relying on a rookie RT, and having gaps at LG and C was still a patchwork OL last year. Nevertheless, this hasn't worked out. Gotta try to move on.
  14. Just stop fucking around, and this offseason, sign a quality guard (Connor Williams) and RT (Trenton Brown) to the team, and let Neal compete at RT or bump inside to G. And then draft another OL in rounds 2-4 as well for more depth. Stop pussyfooting around with this patchwork OL bullshit. Bredeson, Glowinski, Ezeudu aren't starting capable lineman, and Neal is looking like a bust. Maybe MAYBE you can get away with 1 of these guys starting on the OL but only if the other 4 are all good.
  15. Oh yes, definitely when the Giants are on, it's only the Giants, but if I go to a Giants game at say 1pm est, I'm not able to catch the other games at 4pm est...because then I'm spending 2 hours trying to get home from that stadium lol
  16. Also, I can't put my finger on why, but baseball games in person are just more relaxing than NFL football games in person. NFL football to me is stressful to watch in person. It could just be the slower pace of baseball that does that. It also helps to watch at home, with things like NFL redzone, and all the fantasy stuff I have going on, so I can capture all the games at once.
  17. It can be both bad coaching and bad players as well. Nate Solder, Halapio, Chad Wheeler, Cam Fleming, Patrick Omameh, Matt Skura, Spencer Pulley for instance were bad players. No amount of coaching was helping those guys.
  18. Schmitz has been bad too. McKethan is essentially a rookie playing in just his 2nd game. I wouldn't write him off yet. He flashed vs AZ.
