  1. Not really about how Eli is throwing the ball. Brady and Rivers trust their WRs to make a play. Brady knew when he had Moss he could throw a hail mary pass in his direction and it could probably be caught. Brady knows he has guys like Welker and Brach who are quick and sure handed so he can throw the ball at them in press coverage and more then likely they will out position or fight for the ball. Favre by all accounts had one of the strongest arms in the NFL when he played and look at that INT record to go with his legacy. I think trusting your WRs and knowing what they can do is what Brady and Rivers have. Not saying that arm strength isnt important though.
  2. I think it's trust as well, Brady and Rivers trusting the WRs to make a play on the ball when needed.
  3. I call a blowout on Jack posting 150 times in this thread about things he already created multiple threads about.
  4. Contract issues, was due to make $8 million this year plus he wanted a contract extension.
  5. Imagine if the Giants kept Lombardi, Landry and Belichick. Fuck Giants could have 9 SBs to their name.
  6. How many threads will JackStroud start stating the same opinion over and over?
  7. Posting Record. Rate how his posting career has been on Sportswrath.
  8. Watching NE play against the Dolphins. Tom Brady throwing for a jabillion yards and had firm command of the entire game, let alone they are doing it with no name running backs, offensive line man and a defense that has more questions in it's secondary then some would like to admit. Why cant the Giants ever build something from the ground up that lasts? We had the chance with Eli and crew to stay on top for multiple years but fell short time and time again yet after one SB win everyone shut up and got comfortable with mediocrity. Why cant we expect more from this franchise then just one SB every 10 years? Why cant we build something like the Steelers/Patriots or even the 49ers or Cowboys of earlier years. Sure the Giants might of had some power house teams but only have achieved success three times in the modern age of the SB. Why is it the Giants can never find a way to find success and hold onto it? I know it's an organization thing it starts with the owners, down to the GM to the coach and so on. Why cant the Giants ever find pieces that work? Do Reese and Coughlin hate each other so much they cant seem to get on the same page and build a NY Giants team? Why the fuck does it seem like Eli and his WRs (out side of Toomer and Smith) are always out of sync and never on the same page. Why the fuck can this defense hold a #1 offense in the league to damn near nothing but then turn around and make Sexy Rexy look like Peyton Manning. Mediocrity is stating to get old. Just a rant really, not a "this season is doomed"
  9. This question, it's confusing. Are you asking why an interception is an interception? Or that when a ball is tipped that it's now a live ball?
  10. If that's the case I think all of or WRs should be cut. I recall both Manningham and Nicks both having hammy problems. Didn't Tuck have a pulled hammy for awhile as well?
  11. I say we move him to DE. But we better ask Antrel Rolle first.
  12. Well considering Lance Briggs though of it first and the NFL is already threatening him with a fine, I would imagine so. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d822107bf/article/briggs-fine-wont-stop-me-from-donning-us-gear-sunday
  13. I think it's NY Giants tradition, leave the team, bash the coaches and players. Cant wait to see what Eli has to say. "Tom told me to throw all those Ints"
  14. Yeah in '07 we had the luxury of having a HoF DE who could arguably take up a Tackle/Guard or Tackle/TE combo just by himself and with Tuck and Osi on the other side what the hell are you going to do to block that? Now I'm not taking anything away from Tuck because he's arguably the next best DE we have had since Strahan but he doesnt command that type of respect Strah did. Not to mention having Osi do his mid season run 300 fucking yards past the QB act doesnt help either. I hope JPP pans out this year though, would be nice to have Tuck and JPP out there.
  15. I hate how the Giants have adopted the swap method of play in the D-line. I know Spags was the guy who came up with the idea of it but really it only worked for the SB year before teams caught on to it. It seems like when guys like Tuck get a full head of steam after a big play, Fewell decides to pull him and put in someone else for no reason really.
  16. I'm not saying what can and cant get you into the playoffs, the press doesnt care about that. They do care about who does make it into the playoffs and who doesnt and what QBs are on those teams.
  17. 8 replies in this thread, six of them by Jack himself.
  18. Brees made the playoffs, Eli didnt. Pretty much sums it up.
  19. Well considering they are defending SB champs with much of the same team in place, I can give them a pass on being cocky.
