mastershake
The guy has played just one full season in the past four years. Obviously there's no way to predict how it would have turned out had he stayed here, but looks like ditching ODB was the right move.
Chuck Wagon
...and Mayfield got a lot better without him yelling for the ball after every play. C. Wagon
gmenroc
Beckham...wasted talent for many reasons. 1. Headcase 2. Misuse/not featured 3. Lack of offensive creativity 4. Injury prone Has really separated himself from the game's greats as a result. It's a shame. And yes, it was a good move to trade him.

Sephiroth
Honestly most of us called this. Getting rid of him was the right move. Also Darius Slayton will have more receiving yards this season.
Iceman_NYG
Disagree - this was pure bad luck - the entire team looked upon him as leader. Its just unfortunate - by that measure - lets cut ties with Barkley too. Not a single teammate has said he was a headcase - its just bullshit from outside quarters. I don't know man, he's had some very tepid endorsements by his teammates over the years. Of course nobody said he's a headcase. Of course they all say he's a good teammate. What the fuck else are they going to say? Probably a real good call to ship him out before his gimme-the-ball act fucked over Jones' development. (if there's even going to be any development). Well yeah, when the guy is getting you into A-list Hollywood parties you don't wanna turn around and say he's a dick.

He was injury prone when he left NY...and he continued to be injury prone while in CLE. I think we made the right choice not paying a receiver $20mm per year for 8 games per year. gmenroc
It's stupid stuff, admittedly, that got magnified by OBJ's personality. The fight with Norman, boat trip, pics with that coke ho....some poor choices on his end but nothing tragic. But having an Eli and Danny J by comparison...just didn't jive it seemed. It is just comforting not to constantly answer questions about him or his antics anymore. It's like...how many of Jerry Rice's teammates were asked about him or his life? Even modern day...there are guys who star in the NFL who deflect the spotlight as opposed to running toward it. OBJ was the mosquito flying into the bug zapper.
