BlueInCanada
With the announcement that the NFL draft will be entirely virtual/internet based, teams using VOIP calls and Zoom programs, anyone else think this is just going to be one massive cluster fuck? Teams are going to miss out on picks because they have dropped calls. And I guarantee you there will be atleast ONE team who is going to say they were hacked and never wanted this player or couldn't get a pick in time. Imagine if the thing was hacked? "With the first pick of the draft the Cincinnati Bengals select, Jake Fromm QB" "The NY Giants select, Justin Herbert QB"
mastershake
I think they will manage since the team draft rooms have always been virtual anyway (or have for the past 20yrs or so)
NeMesiS
I think it’s going to be ok... they practically do it anyways.
Iceman_NYG
In any case the actual discussions all happen on phone and electronically anyway - thats where deals are struck. Am sure there will be phone relays of the actual pick instead of just an online button that is susceptible to a hack. The team will have to physically spell out their pick I suppose. This mock draft nonsense is what I dont get.

It's been remote at least that long, maybe even forty years back. All by phone for most teams for quite some time. Only real change will be to the talking heads.
