  1. Not a fan of the dead money in 2024...but like the picks and he wasn't coming back in 2024 anyway...so guess it's fine.

And yeah, hope this is tip of the iceberg.  Barkley and Jones could probably go too.  Steelers might be a taker for Jones with Pickett being iffy at best.

  2. Flott has played better in a supporting role.  Think he can step in for Jackson next year easily.

I'd like to see Hyatt get more targets, but tough to see if he isn't open or if the QBs don't have time or if they just cannot find him

It's funny there were articles not much more than 24 hours ago saying he can't feel in his left arm at times.

    Suddenly he's healthy lol

This franchise is going to kill the guy.

Like it's killed all of us the last 10 years.

That's where my mind went.  Wonder where Thomas is in recovery with his hammy.  Maybe if another OT goes down, we could have another miracle healing?

  4. Is DeVito not one of the Jake Fromms of the league?

I am curious if Jones' neck doesn't magically get better this week...

4 games til the bye...I would've said prior that Vegas, NE, and Wash are all winnable with TT or DJ...but can't see it with DeVito even though I like him as a backup.

  5. Yesterday was one of the first times I saw Thibs set an edge in the running game.  Clear his speed was too much for the Jets, but he was disciplined in his pass rush.  It is like it clicked that it's more than just lining up and getting past your guy...again...discipline to keep an edge and keep after it.  He had a good game and was a large part in why we should've won it.

Team as a whole is just bad, but he was a bright spot yesterday.  We will see what he brings against LV...but here's hoping for some consistency.

Luckily Joe Schoen has forgotten more about football than any of us will know and he deliberately crafted Jones contract as a two year deal.

This.  I would have to look, but I remember there being an out after two years.

I didn't mind giving Jones a shot for two more years...but he's not the guy on the field.  Off the field, he is who you'd want...but that's secondary to playing well.

It's not fair cause he has taken an asskicking...but at the same time, paying him longer and more just isn't worth it when the team continues to lose.

Fix the offensive line and the pjpeline feeding it.  Do that first.

Its going to be a fire sale soon - such a shame after giving so much hope last season. I wouldnt feel so bad if they hadnt hyped my homing ass for this season. Its been a decade of nonsense.

Kinda why I made the Who's Worth Keeping thread.

It’s not even about the monster hit.   They’re making a business decision not to tackle but have to pretend to try.   Tacking is not hard at all regardless of size.  It’s about angle, technique, thrust, and a wrap…. Even if the guy drags you for a couple of yards due to size, at least you’re slowing him down for others.

Sure you're still talking about tackling?

The Jets defense is going to mop the floor with our O line, Daniel Jones / Tyrod Taylor.

Maxx Crosby has gotta be chomping at the bit too.

20% of the reason the teams we've played look as good as they do is us.

For sure... guys are not just getting beat... they can't see basic assignments.  Stunts are like calculus to them.

Do college defensive lines not run stunts?  These guys have seen this shit before.  Not saying it's all the coach...but lets make sure we put down the rose shaded glasses and see what these guys have accomplished even in 1:1 matchups
