I think Carolina beats us if we were to play.
-
He should block inside out...which he did here...but not when the inside guy is already blocked. He should be a guard...but if asked to pull, I could easily see him going the wrong way.
Can't cut everyone, and I do think for no other reason than draft position, Neal gets a shot at G...but they should do that now in a lost season to test him out. If he can't play better...pull the plug this offseason.

Depends on whether Jones can still walk before the season is over.
No...it doesn't. You really want a QB without a line? Have you watched this season?
I know you cant draft 12 linemen, but until that is upgraded to a minimum of servicable and the high priced pieces of shiz are gone...there is no point getting much else
-
Yeah, if it's the neck/spine he had before, we need to pull the plug for his own benefit...
-
At least maybe it opens the window for injury settlement/cap relief
-
Cause with our trash OL...he would be required to block anyway
-
Scouting is a big piece too. I think our scouting dept sucks more than our coaching...by a lot
-
Glad to see the Bears get a win...you know, cause we about to start talking draft in week 5 or 6

With or without Barkely, Thomas, and JMS, we weren't beating the Dolphins.
Agreed...but it will be interesting to see if more get hurt as a result. Will they pull Jones? Will Pugh get called up after being on team 3 days? Will we score at all? Will Miami put up a 50 burger or will they reat their guys in the 2nd half?
-
Barkley questionable...but really, dude, why bother?

Through the first two games this year dating back to the mid-season faltering last year, the giants have been 5-8-1 even with Barkley.
It's a damn shame we've wasted this guy's career because we couldn't put together even an average OL in 6 years.
Bingo...and not saying he'd be all pro...but the Jones conversation would be quite different too.

I think some of it is the inability to rebound stemming from week 1. I think that has lingered. I think a lot of guys thought we'd be better than we are and I think there too, is a mindset that we aren't just losing...we are getting embarrassed. In other words...guys believe they are this bad. Confidence is as low as it gets and no amount of lip service is gonna get it done...be it from coaches or players.
The only way to fix it is to go out and play respectable football. But with 2 asskickings on the schedule the next two weeks, I expect the downward spiral to continue.
-
Not making excuses, but some of that speaks to razer thin depth. We knew the dropoff from starter to backup was significant...but it's worse.
Guys not named JMS, Neal, Thomas should not be on the roster as far as offensive line. And Neal is on thin ice at that.
That's the rub the fan will never truly know though. The coaches may very well be telling them what to do and they just don't, can't, or try to and are just beaten. Short of being at the practices and in the meetings...we can't be sure if it is coaching or execution.
I like Daboll. His demeanor speaks football coach to me. He seems like a decent guy who can get it done. Other guys seem in over their head or just don't have what it takes. I don't get that from Daboll at all. I would like him to throw a guy under the bus just once. Tell the world...look, our protection is this and player X did not adjust, did not execute...something. Just put it out there that he is as frustrated with the execution as the fans are. Throw that clip of Neal out there and fire back...how are we supposed to do anything if this is what's going on? Clearly Neal isn't coached to throw his own guy out of the way, freeing up a blitzer.
Regardless, I will stand by Daboll through a QB change at the very least.

So yeah...I took Jones numbers and projected this pace over 17 games...lol. Not all his fault as has been discussed, but damn...3.31 turnover/TD rate.
3251 pass yds
9 pass TDs
26 interceptions
735 rush yds
4 rush TDs
17 fumbles

I want to see him flip hot dogs.
I'd be cool if he just blocked someone on the opposing team...

He played the money card with that burger flipping shit and that won’t go away quick. The team prob ordered him to apologize
More likely the team wrote the apology and told him to post it.

after his comments i say toss him.
Still better than those behind him...which says a lot about our roster

trash outside of Neal?
Neal is trash too.
I agree he is trash at tackle thus far, but feel he could potentially be a good guard. So before I throw him away, I'd give him that shot...
-
If I bet on the Dolphins, rest assured they either wouldn't cover or the Giants would pull a win outta Dabolls fat ass

Damn... I fell for it. Although I really did not look into it at all.
I didn't pay it any attention either. Doesn't really matter...just one more instance the the Giants are a joke

Well aside from last year its been 10+ years of shit. And now once again we have to watch a 49er Eagles NFCC......Hurtz hasn't hit a stride yet really LMAO wait till that happens.
Has anyone watched the all 22 film on these losers yet? I have and its not pretty.
Seems like Bobby Johnson can't coach the line to deal with stunts or twists I've never seen anything like it. In summary "Fuck That Guy"
Always a tough call between what the coaches may say and what the players are capable of executing...but yeah, offensive line is trash outside of Thomas, JMS, and Neal...tho Neal should get a shot at guard before he is trashed. JMS...jury still out on him.

Agreed. What has McKinney done? We never see him making plays. I liked Love better, and for 2 years $12M would've kept him.
I think the fact we don't hear about him isn't necessarily a bad thing. A decent offer should be made that he will likely refuse and you let him walk.
Jones.

Anyone know the cap situation if we reach an injury settlement with Jones?
I don't wish injury on anyone, especially our own, but if the Giants can get away from Williams, Barkley, and Jones in the next year or two...
