  1. I'm thinking 4-2 as well. Split against the Eagles and Redskins. Sweep Dallas.
  2. Ah, but who was right first?
  3. Forgot it was a Sunday night game. That does make it a tad bit difficult on those who have to work Monday morning. Especially if you've got significant travel time. My plan: Go anyway. Take Monday off. The all-day tailgate party leading up to the game would be well worth it.
  4. I'd go with Indianapolis. Opening weekend which is always a good idea. Manning v. Manning. A true test for our new secondary.
  5. Oh, so many plays to choose from. Mine, probably has something to do with these two guys.
  6. Doesn't matter where he went, he wasn't going to get anything more than minimum salary. And chances are, with his history of injury, he figured he'd just bank out on retirement and not risk further injury. I'll tell you, if I were in the NFL, there's a strong chance I'd do the same, even if I were successful. Play a few years, collect some serious money, invest it smartly, and retire to a life of ease. Granted, Taylor most likely doesn't have enough to do nothing the rest of his life, but he isn't going to be hurting either.
  7. I agree with a lot of what was said, which leads me to see this grade as a bit biased. In other words, it seems as if the writer is a Giants fan or works for the Giants. Probably not the case, just seems that way. Making the same points the writer made, I'd put them at a B-/C+
  8. Madison, Webster, McQuarters, Deloatch, & Walker. I'm assuming that since no one mentioned Peterson, that he's officially been released due to injury. Can anyone confirm?

    hahaha

After seeing him at draft day thing last year, it doesn't surprise me.
  10. I don't condone the use of either coke or steroids. But I'm not so sure that LT ever admitted to being high or being under the influence while on the field. I could be wrong on that though. Regarding Bonds, I think I'm the only one who believes he's innocent until proven guilty. Certainly, it doesn't look good when everyone around him is going down and there are witnesses who have stated seeing Bonds using. But until he's proven guilty or until I'm called to the jury, I'll reserve my judgment.
  11. Woulda Coulda Shoulda. I don't mind watching him leave
  12. No doubt he wasn't coming back here, but I figured I'd share.
  13. If we can sign Couch to the same contract we have signed Lorenzen, then I'm all for it. I don't see any reason to replace Hasselback.
  14. Whether it be scheme or lack of motivation, I'm think it's safe to say I'd be in favor of bringing this guy in for a year or two.
  15. Not to mention 'Big Daddy' can be safely assumed to mean big, run stuffer as opposed to nimble, speed rusher.
  16. I meant to add my two cents when starting the thread, but I think as for a one or two year deal, it wouldn't be a bad thing. I know virtually nothing of his game, such as whether or not he's more a run-stuffer than pass-rusher or the other way around. But I don't really care what position you play, if you've lasted 12 years in the league, and have seen solid playing time, he wouldn't necessarily be a bad guy to have in the rotation.
  17. If true, I'm slightly amused and happy. Can't be overly excited given the quality players that Diehl and Seubert are. Both are good, I'm glad we have both, and I wouldn't say they're horrible. But at the same time, I can't say that either of these two are stellar, top notch O-linemen.
  18. I don't pay the FAG 4 any attention. Come to think of it, this is the first time I've actually referred to them in a post. I think, too, that if we avoid major injury, that 10-6 or 11-5 are definitely do-able. My point was simply that CNNSI was down on the Giants because they had a tough schedule while every team in the NFC East has a tough schedule becuase there is a minimal difference between the schedule of the Giants and the schedule of the Redskins, Eagles, or Cowboys. So in other words, it's really not a good point to make.
  19. I think is a decent take on it. Our schedule does suck fat nuts. But I what I don't understand is how it can make that big of a difference when our schedule and the schedule of our division opponents only differ by 2 games.
  20. I'm pretty sure I saw Antowain Smith signed with Houston. Wouldn't mind hitting up Proehl for us.
  21. I can't see how we carry 6 WRs. Toomer, Burress, Carter, Moss, Tyree Ponder/Taylor are both as good as gone.
  22. I think everyone loved the trade down with Pittsburgh, but I still would have leaned towards LB in the first (would've gone DT, but there were clearly none valuable enough for 25 or 32). I'm no GM, so I'll sit back and see how it all goes down.
  23. Slightly worried. Thought we could've spent a higher round draft pick on one, but we apparently wouldn't have gotten the value out of our draft pick had we taken one when we were able to. So, I'm confident this unit will be aided by solid LB play and solid play from the DEs.
