  1. lol...he's white? Not sure why the Giants signed/drafted him in the first place if that's the case....(I keed, I keed)
  2. Scott I'll give you. Ware could get cut in the next 5 minutes and I'd be perfectly okay with that. We do plan ahead, but I guess what we all hope for is not simply planning to replace guys when they age, but having contingency plans to back up our regular plans as well, to ward against injuries/to ward against draft pick busts/to upgrade the guys we already have.
  3. The article makes some valid arguments, but it's a bit too far on the sunshine and rainbows side for me.
  4. I think Massie would be a reach at #32. He's slated as a mid 2nd last I saw. I can't see Hightower getting past Pittsburgh unless they fill the hole left by Farrior before the draft. I think we pull a WR at some point in the draft, but I don't know about day 1, or 2 even. Fleener could be BPA and fill a need at 32...leading me to think he's definitely a possibility. I also think that OT is a possibility with a guy like Mike Adams. Now, Adams is getting more praise and is rising slightly, so he might not be there. A RB like Wilson or Miller would be a sexy pick, but we rarely do sexy here with the Giants.
  5. I actually keep forgetting about Sash, but you're right.
  6. We still need to add depth to the position with Jacobs leaving. Bradshaw will certainly take on a bigger role, but his durability will definitely be questioned and challenged given his past history.
  7. Nothing more than depth/ST guys, though the 3rd S position is up for grabs with Deon Grant not being resigned. Kinda important with Fewell's 3 safety defensive package. Wonder if the Groves visit is a move to kinda light a fire under Goff to get his ass back here and sign up.
  8. Vick is doing well enough accomplishing that on his own.
  9. Presumably done for season. http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/id/37665/peters-injury-shakes-up-eagles-offseason
  10. Agreed they can be replaced...not so sure on the 'easily' part of it.
  11. With Thomas, Manningham, and Jacobs leaving...coupled with injured TEs...and our skill positions are taking a pretty good hit this offseason. Creates a need for Jernigan, Barden, Ware, Scott all to step up in a big way.
  12. Sucks...was hoping he'd be back, but I understand the cap implications we must be under right now.
  13. There's two guys in the league with the name Earnest Graham? I wouldn't be completely pissed at a Mewelde Moore, who was used sparingly by Pittsburgh behind Mendenhall...or a Tim Hightower if he's healthy. But yeah, definitely leaning towards a draft pick at this point.
  14. This begs the question as to what FA RBs are still available....
  15. Giants must have really, really lowballed him for him to sign a 1 year deal on the other coast
  16. McKenzie unless he's brought back at vet min and doesn't get offers elsewhere, Ross, Goff (until further notice)
  17. Gotta believe it's Smith's last opportunity before the rest of the league writes him off.
  18. Steve Smith (former Giant, former Eagle) to Rams http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7740903/2012-nfl-free-agency-st-louis-rams-sign-steve-smith
  19. You can be a moron and still play football extremely well. Medicore football smarts does not a genius make.
  20. I think Parcells should just sit it out...for the hall of fame reasoning alone. A consultant, sure. A coach, no.
  21. Who'd the Packers lose that they got 2 4th rounders?
  22. As of today, I'd agree. By the time the season rolls around, I think Prince will be ready. But even if Prince is not as good as Ross was, one, I think he will be eventually and two, the dropoff from Ross to Prince in the short-term is not so significant as to cause a need to pay Ross what he got from the Jags.
  23. Even if teams beat the Giants offer, they'll have to beat it enough to get Jacobs convinced moving him and his family is worth it. Now, if that other team is the Jets, then that's obviously a moot point. But yeah, seeing no interest at all in Jacobs to this point, it's easy to jump to the conclusion he'll be back in blue. Then again, FA RBs are only starting to garner interest/visits.
  24. Like it's been mentioned, the loss of Ross and Manningham can be absorbed by guys already on the team...or at least the team thinks so. What I'm trying to say is that the Giants are prepared to replace Manningham with Jernigan or Barden and replace Ross with Prince. Now, if either of those guys don't step up into the role they've been drafted for, it's a problem. But the team has made the appropriate steps/decisions to put themselves in position to move on without them. Same might be able to be said about Goff, but to a lesser extent. Jacobs release is the one that I don't know that we're really all that prepared for.
