  1. Spice Girl, do you have anything positive to add to this forum?
  2. Hmmm, Tom Hicks was right when the offseason began he said prices would be rediculously high. So far, some serious cash being handed out. Fucking Sox want Young for Manny, with the fucking mentally challenged sumbitch playing GM we got they'll probly get it.
  3. Explain to me whats wrong with his mechanics, and tell me what you would suggest to do to fix them? Plus, in all honesty what do mechanics have to do with anything? The guy's ya'll have been drooling over (Romo and Rivers) aren't exectly the picture of QB mechanical pefection either. ya know, it's one thing to have a complaint and talk about it, it's another to just throw shit out there like it's fact. Eli is just not a very accurate passer, thats it. He's an inaccurate passer ewho's losing confidence and thats all. His mechanics don't mean shit, Brett Favre doesn't have mechanics, he gets the ball to his recievers anyway he knows how, including underhand, lefthand, sidearm etc. Peyton's balls get to the recievers all but flying end over end, but they get there in the right spot. Add onto an inaccurate, inconfident QB a bunch of guys playing halfassed and a group of coaches who couldn't figure out a fucking 2 years old jigsaw puzzle and you end up where we are right now. Eli is going to be a fine QB, if you are or were expecting Peyton, just drop that, there is 1 Peyton and Eli ain't it. When we get a group of coaches that have a brain or two between the lot of them, get some players that finish routes and tackle people and can catch a ball or 2, then you'll see what Eli is about. He cannot be a leader on a team like we have, primadonna's, half hearted players who have other things on their minds. He cannot be accurate when he throws 40 times every game, WR's playing half hearted. no one seems to mention the guy is playing with WR's (aside from Plax) who have limited game time in the NFL. yes Carter has been around a while but he's always injured. jennings was in Europe. Toomer was Eli's comfort target.
  4. I'm gonna guess it went something THIS <--------thats a link.
  5. Poor Frankie it's getting to the point even I am losing hope. Just stick the guy back there on punt returns and lets see what happens.
  6. It's painfully obvious Tiki is unhappy with the play calling, it's also obvious Coughlin is no fun guy to play football for. If Coughlin were to be replaced (along with huff) by a seemingly competant coach, would Tiki come bac for another year or so? Coughlin Pissed
  7. OK, now i'll entertain you. The year and perhaps the year after we drafted / traded for Eli Collins probly would have had better stats, him being a back up to a rookie proves he is not a good quarterback anymore. Eli is a young QB playing half his games in one of the worst stadiums for a QB to play in, he is also not being helped by his coaches who for his whole career to date have put the games entirely on his shoulder (which BTW he has responded very well many times with late game heroics). For his whole career he has had one of the best weapons in football and that weapon is not being used effectivly. He throws the ball 40 times a game routinly, his confidence is low and knowing this, he is still asked to throw 40 times per game. But here are the stats, TD's and INT's. K.C. - 33 Games - 42 TD's - 38 INT's. These are Kerry's final 33 games E.M. - 35 games - 46 TD's - 39 int's Similar stats, but at this point Kerry is a backup and quite frankly lucky to be that. Eli is a young, struggling QB who WILL work his way out of his slump and become a good QB. His mechanics are absolutely NOT worse than kerry's. Kerry was a chucker, he was never a complete QB. Eli is nowhere near as immobale than Kerry, when needed Eli is very good at good at getting out of the pocket and getting the ball to his recievers. Am i happy with Eli right now? No Am i ready to jump ship because of his struggles? Hell no One thing to keep in mind, in his second year he led us to the playoffs, and this year we are in a good situation to make them again.
  8. Right now? Where is Collins playing again?
  9. Oh hell no, not for that price. i just hate seeing him go to the Angels.
  10. Link It's 1 thing to lose him, but to lose him to the Angels. Why does God hate me?
  11. Well, Rivers has done what he's asked to do so far, he's got the best weapon in the game, maybe ever. His coaches know how to use that weapon and muild their QB's confidence by easing him along and letting him take advantage of his targets. rivers deserves the accolades for doing what he's done. Now, I like Rivers, I liked him in college and I would not have complained if we could not have worked out a trade for Eli. That said, I still beleive Eli is going to be a helluva QB, but not with these coaches. You can't throw the ball 40 times in giants stadium, and you can't keep doing it when it's obvious your QB is losing his confidence. Eli is always going to be held to a higher statistical standard than Rivers or Rothlisberger because of the trade, thats not fair because of the stadium we play in. There's a reason all of our sucessfull teams in that stadium were run oriented offenses and hard nose defenses. We drafted Eli for his coolness under fire and his unflabability. Rivers or Ben in NY would likely be in a similar situation, and i don't think they are metally strong enough to be able to come out the other side as sucesful as i believe Eli will.
  12. Wood said he wanted to be in the pen this year to rest his arm, I still think Wood will someday be a dominant pitcher. Either way, what a shame from a baseball fan standpoint that these two guys have been injured.
  13. Oh, I thought it was based on where the author felt each QB was at this point in the season.
  14. Eh, what'dya expect? only thing i question is how Garcia and Green are ahead of him considering the lack of PT each has had this year. But there are also 1, maybe 2 guys that could be ranked above eli that are below him. Bottom line, fuck these rankings, everyone knows Eli has "it", we've all seen it, we've seen him make some terrific throws and win games single handedly. Anyone saying he sucks is a moron. Eli has the physical and mental ability, and has shown it countless times, what we need from him is to do it every game.
  15. AP New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin says he plans on forfeiting this Sunday's game against the Titans because the Giants do not have enough players to field a team. The Giants have been ravaged by injuries the last several weeks with stars such as Michael Strahan, Osi Umenyiora, Amani Toomer and Luke Petitgout missing significant time due to a variety of injuries. The loss would put the Giants at 6 – 5 and possibly be tied for second with the Philadelphia Eagles depending on the outcome of the Eagles game and the Dallas Cowboys game on Thanksgiving Day. When asked about the decision to not play the game, Coach Coughlin replied. “The players aren't disciplined enough to not get hurt, if they can't stay healthy they won't play at all. These bums show up to meetings on time, on fucking time! Not early, but on time. Then, they go out and break their bones every week. On top of that, we had the leagues leading rusher, I give him the ball ten fucking times, he should have at least 500 yards rushing getting the ball that many times. No one else gets the ball ten times except the quarterback and the other teams defense, oh speaking of the quarterback, I call for passing plays about 40 times per game, we should be scoring 100 points per game throwing that much, but are we? No. I don't care if everyone on the other team, the fans in the bleachers, and the blind elderly in the nursing homes know we're gonna throw 40 times, we should complete the pass 39 times of those 40. It's just frustrating ya know?”
  16. Or we could draft Adrian Peterson this year, make the playoffs next year, and take Jamarcus Russell in the second in 08. I hear ya, this season is giving me an ulcer.
  17. You cannot run the ball 13 times and expect to win, I don't care about the YPC, I don't care if they had 25 carries for 26 yards instead of 13 for 26. You pound the rock if you have running room or not, you do not abandone the run in hopes of beating a team that is a bette5r pass defense anyway and now does not have to repect the run. They should have went to 2 back sets and ran counters and Jacobs in the middle. Your vast knowledge of the football isn't so fast, but i will say you have as much knowledge as Huff and TC.
  18. It's not his mechanics, surprisingly thats fine. It's the accuracy, which is from rushing the throws. Eli is like a deer crossing the road right now, he knows he has to go out there, but he's scared shitless he's gonna get creamed.
  19. And you made this brilliant annalysis based on 13 rushes? How about the Bears game in which they ran 21 times and did very well doing so. Running controls the clock, even when it is ineffective. Sonner or later, a back like Tiki will break one, that helps to swing the momentum. Running Jacobs would punish the defense and wear them out.
  20. I'm not ready to leap from the Eli bandwagon just yet, but no doubt about it he is not an accurate QB right now. His mechanics seem to be OK, i think he's rushing his throws though. Again, not to beat a dead horse, but our coaches are not helping him. He's got a backup LT protecting his blind side and we have been running less and less each week. He has no confidence in his protection and is losing confidence in his ability. Sitting him for a half might be a good move, but it could also backfire and send him further into self doubt. li is an inconfident unaccurate QB right now, the coaches should be helping him by running the football and running a no huddle offense so he doesn't have time to think about his mistakes.
  21. I cared, thats what the entire argument me and monty had was about.
