  1. This article is like the Roger Clemens press conference. It's supposed to vindicate Tiki, or cast a different light on the situation, and it fails miserably. Nobody has said Tiki wasn't a great contributor to the Giants while he was here. He is one of the greatest Giants of all-time. But Giant fans are a savvy and protective bunch. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that almost none of his former teammates came to his defense, even though he was a great player- very odd in NFL circles. He also said, over the airwaves, what a joke Eli was in the locker room. Real nice. I understand his job is now to report on the NFL, but when was the last time you heard a former-player-now-reporter divulge information like this that was intended to embarrass a former teammate? And a guy, no less, who had done nothing his whole career but take the heat with class and dignity? And don't believe the hype about Tiki saving Coughlin's job. The story goes that the guy who first reported that (the same Tiki-worshipper that wrote this article, I believe), wouldn't or couldn't verify that Tiki actually did that. He had reported it to sound like that's the way it happened, and some news sources ran with it.
  2. In his defense, he was probably thinking, "If I pick the Pats, I'll be twice the pariah in Giantland that I am now. If I pick the Giants, they'll think I'm sucking up." He probably also, like most football people, doesn't think the Giants have a real chance anyway. He's really in a no-win situation when it comes to predicting the winner.
  3. I don't expect you to be afraid to show your face on the internet when nobody knows who you are, anyway. You should definitely be embarrassed, though. Peace. One love.
  4. I love to talk about history, especially recent history.
  5. Maybe you should make a video about it and put it on youtube. Be sure to use that wanksta voice, too. That was a great parody of all the lowlifes who post rants about their sports teams in full-on gangsta mode. That was a parody, right?
  6. $218 Million Payroll Congrats!
  7. Here's the thing about Tiki: You know he's hoping we don't win. That pretty much says it all.
  8. Uh...can we win one first fellas?
  9. Unfortunately, we're not going to be able to throw money at him to make him stay. Garrett knows he's gonna be the head coach of the Cowboys, probably after next year, so there was really no point in him going anywhere else anyway. We can't promise Spags the same thing. Coughlin is going to get a multi-year extension after this season.
  10. It's terrible, but we're gonna lose this guy.
  11. Can we let the Dog know after the Super Bowl is over, since the Dog's question is highly irrelevent until that point in time?
  12. Here's where we disagree. I think Coughlin has done a great job of developing the talent that has been provided. I think Fassel had some very talented players, he just wasn't real good at getting the most out of them.
  13. Does this put an end to the Coughlin/Fassel debate already? Or do the Fassel supporters still claim that he took us to a Super Bowl, too, so Coughlin has to win to be considered better? To me, it's a no brainer. This is a much better team than Fassel ever coached, and it's not because of the talent level. We have eliminated the stupid penalties, which were a trademark of the Fassel era, and that in itself makes Coughlin a better coach (not to mention the playoff appearances, Super Bowl, etc.).
  14. Great point, BB1. I had completely forgotten about that sack, but it could've changed the game, and he was totally offside. As for the Driver/Webster play, I really felt like that was legal. If you come up to the line to bump a guy, you have to be careful that he doesn't put you on your ass. Yeah, there might have been some grabbing, but the refs aren't gonna call it at the line of scrimmage like that. Anyway- WE WIN!
  15. Yeah, I felt like the Packer who had the ball (don't remember who it was) was still trying to run with it, but then I saw players and coaches chewing Madison out on the sideline, so I think he was at fault.
  16. I wouldn't have said anything, Booyah, but the guy felt the need to carry his petty obsession into these threads last night.
  17. What, and mess up our great team chemistry? I say we sit him in the front row, so he can get a good view of what teamwork looks like.
  18. Great job by Plax. I do want to see him a little more focused (less jawing) in the Super Bowl, but I understand that's how he plays, and it worked for him yesterday. One other thing- could he please stop waving the ball around like a loaf of bread after the catch?
  19. Yes, that's painfully obvious to anyone who's followed your childish obsession with me on this board.
  20. Week two. I posted "The season is over". Hate to admit it, and I continued to watch every moment of every game after that, but it just seemed like this team had nothing.
  21. Unbelieveable. First real insano Giant moment where my kids are old enough to appreciate it. Total bedlam in my house.
  22. We made a million and one mistakes tonight...AND WE STILL WON!!! IT'S FUCKING DESTINY!!!
