  1. I can agree with Manning getting benched for a quarter, to get his head together. It happened to him in his rookie year against the Ravens and sometimes QBs need that to light a fire under their ass. A permanent benching will not happen nor should it.
  2. I'm getting tired of it as well. Just remember though, on our first offensive series when it became 3rd and 2, the Giants threw the ball 25 yards to the endzone to Plax. Play calling has alot to do with the 3rd down deficiencies. Eli needs to get his head out of his ass.
  3. That pass was perfectly thrown, Plax slowed up on it. If he kept running full speed, Plax wouldn't have had to extend his arms and it would have been a TD. Eli has enough pressure on him, he doesn't need to get blamed for his good throws too. BTW, it's the second time that Plax slowed on his route this year. Eli had another putrid game but some of you need to look at the play before you automatically blame Eli.
  4. Eli and the rest of the offense sucked yesterday. Eli needs to become the leader and it's not happening with Shockey and Plax. In essence, his team mates are holding him back IMO. Think about it, if you were to get a new job tomorrow, do you think that you're gonna walk in there and have your coworkers look up to you when you're the new kid on the block? Some QBs have done it, but with the demeanor of Eli, mixed with Shockey, it's like oil and vinegar. Didn't Shockey beat up Brandon Short at his first training camp? Maybe I'm reading too much into it. Anyway, it's not only Eli that's inconsistent, it's the whole team. QBs and WRs feed off each other and I can't wait until Moss gets inserted into the game. Eli needs a consistent WR and I hope Moss is the answer. Carter is not the answer and while Plax is real good, he's not consistent.
  5. Thomas Lewis was our 1st rd WR draft pick that was often injured too.
  6. When I mentioned free agency, I meant that you can make up losing draft picks with the system. I liked the old system better also. I grew up on Fairview Ave. between Bergen and Monticello. I hung out on Reed St. as a kid. It's a small world after all.
  7. Yes, I agree with your statement here.
  8. All the more reason that you should have patience with young QBs. All the more reason that you shouldn't care as to the few draft picks that we gave up for him, considering all the first round busts over the years and free agency that is now in the picture.
  9. Yeah, I was new to the game. My attention span sucked and the Giants were horrible for many years there after. I grew up in Jersey City NJ.
  10. The new guys name is Kevin Dockery. He's pretty small at 5'8". As mentioned though, he looks pretty good with good instincts.
  11. Since I was 5 years old around 1971, Ron Johnson was our RB. Most people were Dolphin, Vikings and Jet fans back then and Joe Namath was the talk of the town.
  12. Eli proved himself last year in the Denver game and most fans expect him to have some bad games also. Most logical people don't change their mind as much as the wind changes directions. There will be more bad games to come from Manning just like Tom Brady had 2 bad games. Fair weather fans come a dime a dozen and they have no credibility. Real fans don't judge by a few games, we look at the whole picture.
  13. That place is littered with pure trash. You think you're going to read a decent thread and some fucking dope posts an idiotic comment.
  14. No, but the Cowpokes will after they get trounced by the Colts.
  15. Remember that he didn't even want Meggett in the draft, it was George Young. Then Meggett goes and follows him up to NE.
  16. After looking at the new GMB, I will be going back, but much less frequently. I'll need a magnifying glass just to read the posts and I have 20/20 vision.
  17. It's god aweful. It blows, I can't even read the print and I have great eyesight.
  18. Go back and look up 98% of all the other QBs 1st 5 years. Eli surpasses many of them with more TDs and less INTs. The completion pct is better in many cases also. Go look up Aikman, Staubach, Simms, Elway etc. QB stats
  19. Shouldn't a Cowboy fan be more worried about T.O. and his butterfingers of late.
  20. No problem and I can understand your frustrations. If my memory serves me correct, you are from Australia and you've always been a good poster.
  21. Your team would love to have Eli Manning and after he beats the Cowboys twice, make sure you come back on here to discuss.
