  1. legacy ,Shmegacy What coughlin does this upcoming year has no bearing on what he has done in the past. The Colonel is gone next year So why should he make any changes at any coaching position. He will probably just speak firmly to Fewell and tell him the team needs more balance on the defensive side of the ball.Tom Also use the built in "injury excuse" as why to keep him. He Also may be thinking it wouldn't be fair to the team to start a new DC for one year and have a new HC come in and wipe it all out again. (unless the new DC or Mcadoo is named head coach on Coughlins departure ) You want to know what Coughlins Legacy is? It is that he is too Loyal.(aside of the to glorious Superbowls) t In My opinion he should replace Fewell nonetheless. especially if said new DC could instill a dominate defense like we had in the mid 80's . Of course there will be the question of who is out there that could do that. Also would that person want to fill like a fill in for one year in the uncertain managing future that is coming up?

  4. it used to be when we had an NFL calibre Offensive line and a Viable Run game.
  5. No, I know we all saw him leaving. It just struck me odd they made the announcement only an hour after their last game was over. 9ers must of wanted him out of there real bad . Rexy wanted out of the Jets so bad he cleaned out his desk a day before the last game...... maybe he is on a plane to SanFran?
  6. Jim Harbaugh and 49ers mutually part ways - will take coaching job at Michigan Reports say that the Chicogo Bears will release Marc Trestman , not sure if that will be made public tonight or on Black Monday.

Hmmmmm? Wonder if he will amount to anything. Jennings will be inactive Sunday.
  14. the offensive line men we get in the 5th round and on are not any better than the FA offensive line men we have had in the past. take some young corn fed guys and teach them. Don't go get a geriatric used up has been that got cut from another team, there was probably a reason he got cut..... like being replaced by a younger corn fed bruiser. besides there isnt any QB out there that will be getting the ball to your stud X,Y and Z if he is running for his life and not sitting pretty in the pocket. Edit: Let me add this (I know not knowing how long Cruz's injury wil keep him out) next year Beckham #1, Cruz #2 ,Parker #3, Randle..... not sure if he is on the team if so maybe MAYBE #4 of course Washington is waiting in the weeds. but if Cruz can come back next year Game 1 we will have a pretty good Wr corps . not to mention throwing Donnell in the mix hes got the foundation he just needs more refining

  17. 0...... All season. If the team we are playing makes an adjustment to exploit us we just let them do it on both sides of the ball. and we just take it Discuss?
  18. We need OL and who knows what for D (the yearly we need LBers thread should be starting up shortly) ....we don't know what will happen to the DC or assistants yet if they all stay there is really no sense in getting your hopes up for next year either. With that said I don't think there is any one on here that thinks Fewell will stay. I feel its still to early to say we need this player or that player in the draft.
  19. Coughlin will never get Fired. He will resign, Maybe Coughlin will turn GM if he goes to the FO. I get the feeling Reese says here is a bag of Onions make us an Apple pie when it comes to draft picks.
