Hmm.. you may be right, since I think they just started calling that last year. It wasn't the 1st time he spiked it after a non touchdown though. And I can think of 2 occasions off the top of my head in which Shockey had a chance to recover a fumble or make a tackle after a fumble but gave up on the play. Good riddance.

After watching Droppey make a catch, drag a defender a few yards, then sprint to the line of scrimmage with a sense of urgency, I couldn't help but think of how many times he cost the Giants a delay of game penalty by spiking the ball after a play like that. :brooding:
