  1. Here's all you need to know about QB Ratings: Bulger, Culpepper, Garrard, Trent Green and Pennington ALL have higher career ratings than DAN MARINO
  2. I've never seen a post go more out of it's way to say nothing. Good job!
  3. I do! A win is a win is a win closer to that playoff berth.
  4. Bengals are never able to put the trash aside, and Palmer is hurt, so I don't see it happening. However, I agree with the dog about the Lions. That is a much better choice than the Bengals.
  5. The Phillies have been obsessed with the Mets since Rollins started yapping last year. I don't get it. The Mets have bowed down 2 years in a row when Philly put the heat on. What's the obsession? You're better than the Mets, it's obvious they pose no threat, so move on. I remember Manuel saying, "They'll talk, we'll keep hitting." But it's the Phillies who are always doing the talking. At least be honest about it and don't pretend everything they say or do in regards to the Mets is in retaliation.
  6. Seriously.. besides, we all know that Plaxico Burress is Father of the Year.
  7. lol... I did a search for Jacobs pics and found that one.
  8. The Dog should have went with the Bengals as the 1 team you can pretty much bury. The Seahawks still play in a division led by the Cardinals, and there is time for them to right the ship. Unlikely, but more likely than the Bengals making any noise.
  9. I just saw Wade Phillips getting grilled on ESPN, looking all sloppy like he just came from a night on the town with Pacman. ESPN guys were calling him dead man walking. How long before T.O. chimes in? I say right after the first game Roy Williams scores a TD and he doesn't.
  10. This just in: Pacman enters alcohol treatment center. The snowball just keeps on rolling.
  11. That too conservative play calling had them in position to win the game. I'm not sure how much time was left when Romo let the season slip through his jittery fingers, but I'm sure Seattle would have had little or none to drive up the field and score. A coach can only do so much, and his play calling helped get them to within an extra point's length FG that is as sure a thing as there is in football so long as the dopey holder doesn't fuck up.
  12. NY Post said it better last week. Cowboys resemble their coach, "fat and soft".
  13. Giants win. Losing to the Rams is humilating, but TOTAL humiliation will come when they lose a few more and start whining about injuries.
  14. Maybe the 'Boys should have stood in Steven Jackson's way today.
  15. I'm saying they are the same team that steamrolled into the playoffs in the 2nd half last year, and are 4-1 this year, and the Giants handled them pretty easily, yet people are saying the Skins weren't the Skins yet.
  16. Come on. Even the dregs are inspired for the opening game of a fresh, new season. I think they were just overmatched. Of course, every team has the chance to get better as the season goes on, but I just don't buy that in Week 1 they were a bad team and then all of a sudden in Week 2, they became an NFC East powerhouse. It's all just a way of slighting the Giants, and I hope people keep doing it, because they feed off it and it keeps them hungry.
  17. Who has? But we did give the Skins their only loss so far, and they and Seattle were both playoff teams just 9 months ago. The Browns won 10 games last year. I have this debate with a friend who suddenly is a Dallas fan and I have been telling him the Giants have not been squeaking by against these so called inferior teams, they have blown the doors of 2 of them, and dominated Washington for most of that game, too. Of course, he comes back with the Washington being confused excuse (new coach etc..). What? They figured it out just a week later?!
  18. Antonio Pierce is doing a great job of keeping the Giants grounded, I think. Everyday I read a comment by him in which he finds something that someone said or did to put down the Giants recently, or he just reminds everyone that last year is last year, and they've won nothing this year. There is a player on the Browns who played for GB last year, and he took a swipe at Jacobs and the Giants' O-line, saying "there's nothing physical about em". I'm sure they'll show him how physical they can be.
  19. I think Philly fans should worry less about the Dodgers for now and worry about winning Game 4 as to not have to face Sabathia again.
  20. Is it the Comeback Player of the Year, or the You Sucked Last Year Award? I think a case can be made for Mussina to be a HoFer. I don't think a stat such as wins is a fair way to judge a pitcher, especially in these pitch counting, bullpen overusing times.
  21. Is that true? That in order for your number to be retired by the Giants you need to have gained 10,000 yards? I think the Giants should do it. All time leader in receptions, classy guy who has represented the Giants very well in an age when most WR are brats. Most of all, he's a CHAMPION. Well deserved. I am also glad he got one. P.S. Does anyone in the league do a better job of keeping his feet in bounds when making a catch near the sideline? I'm also happy for Eli. That guy went through alot and never complained or pointed a finger at anyone.
  22. No love for the guy?! 20 game winner for the 1st time. He is one guy who stepped up for you, and I don't think anyone expected it.
  23. I agree to an extent. We can blame the bullpen all we want, and it was dreadful, but ONE timely hit in the past week at least would have gotten us to today. Going back to the NLCS in 06, it was the hitters who lost that series. I still would like to see Wright, Reyes, and Beltran remain the core of this team. Delgado was awesome for half a season, but I don't think it's worth bringing him back for one season if there is a younger, better 1st baseman available to be had. Definitely need to dismantle the bullpen, and add a top of the rotation starter. I'd like to see Perez back. Obviously, we need a LFer. I'd give Church another shot, considering he had his brain scrambled twice. Makes no sense getting rid of him when you already need an OFer. Why look for 2? Second base needs an upgrade. Jesus, there is alot of work to be done....
