  1. Are we talking about Jacobs, or Romo? And better to have had that magic a year ago than not have had any since... geez, how long has it been now?

  3. Wait until early morning, Dec. 25th, and ask Santa to rub his balls on it.
  4. Are they a thing of the past?
  5. Who's been dishonest about our team? They choked, twice, I'd say 3 times (2006 NLCS). I just don't understand the Phillies' fixation with it. They should enjoy their offseason as champs, not chumps, kicking the dogs while they are down. For a team complaining about Reyes' antics, they haven't exactly been the model of professionalism a champion should be.
  6. I would gladly take Burrell. I don't think the bats are fine. Some of the guys have put up some very nice numbers, but they don't get it done when it counts. We do need a starting pitcher, and my fear is that our big free agent Sp signing will be Oliver Perez.
  7. Well, it's true, but we're allowed to say it. So is Hamels, I just don't get the Phils' obsession with the Mets suckage.
  8. I never figured the Phillies would be classy, humble champions. I'm sure Rollins and Myers will have some words for the Mets in March. I don't get their obsession with the Mets. Rollins started it, blamed the Mets for it, and they still won't shut up. They've proven they are better than the Mets 2 years in a row, and won a championship. Let it go.
  9. Now go get some bats, Omar. Some bats who won't disappear in September.
  10. Overrated: See the pic in your sig. Seems like the "experts" are slowly coming around and seeing Romo for what he is, too. The honeymoon seems to be over. Time for Romo to produce results other than for your fantasy team.
  11. This is what I've been trying to point out to Yolk Brain. The Giants are in the business of winning, and would be stupid not to take chances on players with questionable character, but a Cowboy fan really has no argument when it comes to comparing the two organizations' tolerance for bad behavior. It's not even close. He'd be better off comparing Dallas to Oakland or Cincinnati.
  12. Didn't you say in another thread that the Bronx was back because the Yanks were going to sign Burnett and Lowe along with Sabathia? You don't want Sheets. He's not going to ever pitch a full season.
  13. Compare their careers. Santana has clearly been better. Sabathia has been great the past few seasons. Santana has been great his whole career.
  14. Pitching wins in October. You need some offense and defense over the course of 162 games to help get you there. And Sabathia still can't pitch everyday.
  15. Nice attempt, but here's the difference. Bradshaw got in trouble 1 time. Pacman has gotten into trouble more times than anyone can count, and continues to do so, even after being suspended by the league. It will happen again.
  16. Not so fast. You still have no first baseman, center fielder, right fielder, an aging shortstop (yes, he is), and a second baseman who seemed to lose his way last year. Who's the DH? Yanks have issues. Sabathia can only pitch every 5 days.
  17. It does look weird. Maybe it's just the warning track, I don't remember seeing the walls put in place like that in any demo I've seen.
  18. Mine says Mets fan forever with my name on it. Got it as a gift last Christmas. I can't wait to see the real thing.
  19. I think not going after Santana last year and watching the "can't miss 'young guns'" flop had alot to do with it.
  20. Not as significant as a botched FG attempt that one time.
  21. Why would they cut him and take a hit in the wallet because of what he did? That would be stupid. Trust me, he will never wear the uniform again. Players are human, and not perfect, not even (hold your breath!!) Romo. They make mistakes, and the Giants can't cut every player who slips up, or not draft a good one because of one incident. Don't be ridiculous. This guy has repeatedly broken rules and embarrassed the Giants. Some teams seem to like this kind of attention, I don't think the Giants do.
  22. Yeah, and almost half came in 1 game. The first game "that defense" played together. Romo can't get it done when the pressure is on. We've seen enough evidence of that, including the whopping 17 points he put up against "that defense" in a home playoff game last year.
  23. The Giants can't foresee an incident like this happening. This isn't Minority Report. He will most likely never wear a Giant uniform again. The Giants organization will be role models for the rest of the spineless teams in the league who coddle these trouble makers, namely Dallas, Cincinnati etc.. At least they stand behind him publicly and never called him out for being injured last year. Then again, he played injured, something the badass Cowboys have trouble doing.
  24. Not having Plax is huge. Without him, teams can put 8 in the box, and if Jacobs isn't healthy, they might not even have to do that. I am confident that Eli will put the team on his shoulders when he has to. We've all seen him do it. And the defensive line needs to wake the hell up.
  25. Yeah, where has BadEgg been?
