I agree. The holding call was a hold, and the facemask was obvious. Even if he had let go, with the new rule, it still was going to cost them 15 yards. I don't think the new rule is fair, by the way, and it's just a matter of time before that cost a team dearly in a huge game. I also remember the Colts getting a break on a reversal on what looked to me to be a fumble by the Colt's kick returner near the end of the 1st half. It would have given SD the ball with great field position and a chance to at least attempt a FG before the half. That ball was coming out of his hands before his knee hit the ground.

I really like Derek Lowe, and hoped all along he'd the be one they would go after. I think he's exactly the gritty type of veteran this team needs. I agree about bringing Perez back, too. Santana Lowe Pelfrey Perez Maine That would be a nice rotation to go with what should be a stronger bullpen. Hopefully they sign them and start working on some bats!

But, what the Giants did show up to that point, was that they could run the ball and pressure the other team's QB. So there was always a chance that anything could happen. And I'm not sure how much of an upset beating Tampa really was. I'm sure they were favored since they were the home team, but they weren't really all that good. They were this year's Cardinals. Decent team in a shitball division.

I disagree 100%. The Cards are not, and cannot be sneaky dangerous. They are too one dimensional to be sneaky, and I see no possible way they can win a game in Jersey in January, unless the weather is uncharacteristically un-January-ish and Spagnuolo gameplans to stop the non existent running attack and stacks ELEVEN in the box. Of course, there is the possibilty that the Giants can play a sloppy game, let them hang around, and they can steal it, but I don't see that happening either.

Is Pat Williams going to be back for this one? I'd like to say the Vikes run defense gives them the edge, but the Eagles don't run in a traditional sense, and McNabb and Westbrook are so dangerous. I just don't trust either Minny QB to get it done, either. I want both home teams to win this week, because I really want Arizona in the 2nd round.

Oh my God, 44-3?? I honestly expected Dallas to lose this game, but I thought at the least, their defense would show up. I figured it would be a tight game and in the end, their QB Shane Falco would blow it like he always does. This is awesome.

And how many times did he lead the offense to a game tying, or lead changing score, only to have the defense give it back and lose the game? It happened a few times in his first couple seasons.
