  1. Might be only the 4th time in league history that a team has 2 guys gain 1,000 yards on the ground. Something to look forward to since the next game means little otherwise.
  2. Ware will probably never surpass or even match the amount of sacks Strahan has in a Super Bowl (1). Not unless he leaves the Cowboys someday.
  3. Are you surprised? We're talking about Romo here. Great fantasy QB, not so great real one.
  4. The lastest episode is a year in review in sports. The first segment focuses on the Giants Super Bowl win, in particular, Tyree's catch. Guests are Strahan, Umenyiora, Tyree, and Rodney Harrison. As Giant fans, you'll enjoy the segment. I checked the listings, and it is on again tomorrow on HBO at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. on HBOW. HBOW is channel 504 for those with Directv.
  5. The 2nd guy was right about one thing, Jim Carrity is pretty funny.
  6. Did Alou retire? I love the guy, I think he's one of the best hitters I've ever seen. Always hits the ball hard. I'm not saying he should be the everyday LFer, but maybe he's worth keeping around as a pinch hitter?
  7. I agree. I think I was trying to say exactly what he said. Hopefully the Mets will finally develop that killer instinct this year, but I'm not holding my breath anymore.
  8. Jacobs' spot at the end reminds me of Rocky Balboa doing that commercial in one of the Rocky movies.
  9. What about Steve Smith? Is he a diva? I know he's gotten into some trouble fighting with teammates, but is that diva-ish? I don't think he's ever acted out the way guys like T.O., Chad Johnson etc., have, has he? Not sure, so I guess I'm just asking, Is Steve Smith a diva??
  10. The Mets have been "professionals" by never really responding to the Phillies and their obsession with the Mets. This whole saga is somewhat distorted, usually the perennial loser is the one yapping away. I just don't get it. Phillies, you WON!
  11. Yes, because we need the bye, which can also be had next week, but we also need home field advantage, because the Panthers are undefeated at home.
  12. If you are referring to the Philly drop, I agree. If you are referring to the one in which Newman held his arm, that was a tough one.
  13. Name change won NFC Championship last year. I'm going for the #1 seed and bye week this time. I was going to with Arthur Leigh Allen, but a negative vibe is not what we need.
  14. I wish the media would write them off. That seems to do the trick.
  15. Vikings DT Pat Williams is OUT for Falcon's game. That helps. 2 weeks ago I didn't think I'd have to root for a team to lose, but the Giants NEED that bye week in the worst way so I'll take it however it comes.
  16. I just lost the championship by 5 yards.
  17. This is why the 6er is least concerned with them. If they were to play the Giants, it would be in Jersey in January, which will not be advantage Cardinals and their passing attack. I also don't truly think they belong, and are just a good team in a bad division.
  18. The 6er agrees with this statement, but still feels that the dog is wrong about Jacobs in general.
  19. But they didn't "break it". I'm not judging Ward and Bradshaw based on last night's game. I think they are both good backs. I'm just saying Jacobs is more important to the success of this team than you give hime credit for.
  20. And this is why it came up. I believe you may have stated that Ward and/or Bradshaw are bette equipped to make something out of nothing. Well, last night they were given nothing to work with, and got nothing. Overrated by who? Other than Giant fans, I've never once heard anyone say he was a great back. What we do hear is that he is "bruising" etc.. Even this year, most of praise was being directed to the offensive line. Who's overrating this guy? Fans of teams usually overrate their favorite players, so I doubt you feel he's overrated based on what you read hear. I think you may be going out of your way to underrate his importance to this team.
  21. The 6er is concerned about every team. Any team can put it together on any given Sunday. I'd say I'm least concerned about Arizona, though.
  22. The 6er is interested in the Dog's and Egg's opinion on how or if things might have been different had Jacobs played. This is not me saying the outcome would have been different, that is just impossible to know, I'm just curious if their opinions have changed a little about Jacobs himself. It is my opinion that you guys don't give him enough credit for what he does. I know the O-line stunk up the joint, but I do believe Jacobs might have been able to at least get some kind of running game going. The loss of Burress is big, bigger than alot of us wanted to believe. The loss of Jacobs on top of that is devastating.
  23. Are you saying Coughlin was coaching as if he thought the game could still be won?
