  1. rubbish. this is woe is me bullshit. good teams want to play the best. good teams show up to play the best. and good teams do not get sucked into playing down to an inferior opponents level. you turn some of those late season losses into late season wins and then it would OBVIOUSLY skew the percentages of your experiment.
  2. Cowboyz

    Fewell

tried to warn you. you know i did
  3. i'd pass around a bottle of midol if i were you cats. one month you're destined for greatness, the next you're looking like you were pretenders all along. same in the preseason. SUPERBOWL.....aiiiii 7-9......yay oh SUPERBOWL AGAIN!..... and so on flippity floppity while interestingly enough, it's playing out like most (experts) thought it would. giants 5-3 or 6-2 before a big crash and burn in the real meat of their schedule. btw i heard a nasty rumor that the giants great defense of so many first round picks is ranked 27th in scoring defense???? what????? and all you cats giggled at me when i said rob ryan would change the Cowboys D for the better.
  4. the rotting sweet stench of a decaying franchise. doesn't look good gint fan. as much as I've heard gint fan use injuries as an excuse for poor performance, one would think the offseason conditioning would've been taken a little more seriously. losing to wash isn't the end of the world, but it does make a good start to the end. looks like many here are singing a different song than they were just a few months ago. big jim i'm lookin at you.
  5. I hope you go 0-16. let blunytic know he can have his house back. if the boyz don't win a title, i'll be back to eat some crow. if we do, just take comfort in knowing i'm a happier person than you. it's been real (entertaining)
  6. sure, i watched your defense fold. 11 guys. and your offense shut down like closin time. 11 guys. then i saw 11 guys fail to tackle jackson. but hey, dodge is an easy target. he only has one job. nevermind it took collossal failure from the rest of the team to set him up for collossal failure. but the good news. no changes. coughlin is still captain of the leaky ship.
  7. really? was matt playing defense when you were up 31-10 with 8 minutes left?
  8. awww that's cute. you and bigblue share the same joke book.
  9. lol. that's all i'm saying. you guys felt a lot differently at the moment than you do years later. what you were feeling then was honest, what youre feelin now is defensive and speculative
  10. first, i never discounted your defense. they won the game imo, and the more i dig around here, i've found that's a popular opinion. the dallas game, a heartbreaker for sure, but not the topic of discussion, unless youre saying it was a fluke as well.
  11. my point. lone wolf then: and lone wolf now:
  12. we're in the same boat. that boat is the s.s. missedtheplayoffs. it's not a good boat to be in, hence the much needed changes youre in the boat, and your front office seems content to be there.
  13. i recommend their blog to everyone here. it's objective and no sugar coating, from diehard gint fans. they've got a bead on the nfc east for damn sure. they also have an iphone app available here's their history. Wonder A certified Jets fanatic, Wonder hails from the Bronx and now resides in Vegas. The unofficial UltimateNYG guru, he has a beat on EVERY SINGLE TEAM IN THE NFL. Wonder has a keen eye for evaluating talent and is brutally honest about grading out coaches, players and prospects for the NFL. He played Varsity football all the way through college and then hung up his spikes. His team has always been the N.Y. Football Giants. Born and raised in the NY Metropolitan area, he's a passionate college football fan who presently lives in Atlanta, GA. Pete was a game scout for the Raiders for 15 years. Al Davis would send someone to every N.F.L. game each weekend of the NFL Season. His purpose was to stay current on who played well and who did not. Pete supplied injury reports, potential trade information and gave Davis updates on ex-Raider players. Now writing for UltimateNYG, he gets to do his first love, Sports Journalism.
  14. yes it worked out better for the cowboys don't you think? we managed to get rid of the biggest problem on the team over the last few years. while the gints did just good enough to retain the master of the late season collapse and all of his crew. btw that winning record will get you a cup a coffee, assuming you have a buck to pay for it.
  15. those aren't typical. in fact right now all those guys are exclusively mavericks fans.
  16. i would agree with putting peyton on that list. ofcourse now it's a very, short list.
  17. like i've said, i was rooting for the gints. is it possible at all you guys are just being complete homers?
  18. you've actually been in agreement with most of my posts.
  19. yes in a world where the scoreboard doesn't matter, and ypg, most sacks, and fumbles wins a game. since 2000 alone 3 teams have won games with a -5 turnover differential. the point stands. if you don't convert those turnovers into points, it doesn't equate to a victory.
  20. youre right. that doesn't matter.
  21. ah haha what's next jimmy? "i know you are but what am i?" what am i 'back tracking' on? hell i'm not even sure what that means. there's about 4 on your list who aren't 'championship caliber' qb's, who won with defense. go back another 20 years and there'll be even more. now, answer my question. which one's on your list did it without a good defense?
  22. sigh, a novella is a short novel or long short story.
  23. it doesn't matter if you turn the ball over 15 times if it doesn't equate to points on the board.
