  1. what exactly did i do to him?
  2. no apology necessary. just tell blunatic to come back. if he left because he doesn't want me here, i'll leave. simple as that.
  3. oh come on. that's what everyone said about the 'fluke' and look how popular that thread is.
  4. yea that comment was meant to elicit a laugh. if you want to discredit the list, why not just point out the fact we're mixing eras of football. it's stupid to compare qbs from a run first era to qb's of the pass first era. just look at complexity of playbooks now vs then. look at the defensive changes qb's today have to account for at the line vs then. look at the pass first then run philosophy so many teams have taken to. there list discreditted in less than 500 words. you mention dilfer, then claim you can't win with a pelluer. contradiction. here's to pisarscik's comeback :cheers
  5. thanks for discussing the topic and not making it personal. i agree that fuller and broyles are top prospects, but neither have blackmon's skills, which is why he's considered nfl ready, and not simply a top prospect. amuka was left on an island all year long, including the osu game vs blackmon. that is def admirable, and if he can do it in the pros then he was truly a top ten talent. prince never had safety help in that game, and yes i know that gears toward your point more than mine. 5 catches 150+ yards, and two td's. would've been 3 td's, but prince realized he was beat on another and committed pass interference. and several times blackmon got open only to be over or underthrown. take away this play or that play, but it just doesn't work like that. nebraska winning the game is neither here nor there when discussing the matchup. good post
  6. i'll start a thread on the romo/elisha debate. it deserves its own thread i think.
  7. right. my point was the same from first to last post judge him vs top tier talent, in this case blackmon.
  8. Reese's drafts aren't spectacular. maybe above avg. he has as many misses as the next guy.
  9. or ryan leaf 2nd. yep. no shit indeed. the draft is a crapshoot. most teams are drafting for more than 'solid starter' in the first round. the author's believe better players who also fit needs were available, many would agree, and many would disagree. Parcell's is an excellent judge of football talent. He doesn't like prince. Mel Kiper loves prince, and coincidentally also loved Schuler and Leaf. I think i'll go with BP on this one.
  10. if youre doin that cause of me, just come back. this is your board. looks like youve been here a long time, so i'll go this is just another mb to me. ps i tried to send this privately, but it wouldn't let me.
  11. in this case it would be the consensus of the guys writing the article, gint fans. in any other case, it would be the definition/opinion of the author/speaker. the gints never worked him out, most teams that did passed. the downside is this, if you draft that solid starter at 19, you could be missing out on the perrenial probowler. do you think aaron ross was a solid first round pick, for ex. ofcourse it's all speculation at this point, until he gets on the field. but nothing wrong with speculatin durin the offseason. right?
  12. haha it wasn't that long ago my friend. exactly right. i made this point very early on in this thread, and it got lost in all the spec. I'd take a fluke win over nothing. who wouldn't.
  13. nothing at all if he's the best player on the board.
  14. the guy didn't get less than 100 yards in any game, except the one game he missed. scored in every game. scored 20 tds as a wr, plus one rushing, plus one punt ret. he's a beast. prince did hold him to his fewest catches in a game, but blackmon still netted 150+ yds, 1 td, another would-be td turned pass-interference on prince.
  15. all of which is a matter of opinion. exactly what we've been going back and forth with for 10 pages now. Anyone of those can be a fluke. Calling one such, doesn't exclude the rest from it as well. what would you expect the commentator to say? is he supposed to be biased cause he's a HoF cowboy? it was a great catch, and just like the others you mentioned, it can be a great catch and a fluke.
  16. 12 yrs isn't a long time to be in the nfl, and as i've stated, he has been a good coach, and a respected coach around the nfl. Let's see, in the games the giants lost, they were outscored 210 to 109. That's 6 games. Your defense gave up an average of 35 points in its 6 losses, and you don't think they deserve blame? perhaps perry shares your philosophy on ypg, maybe his job hinges on making top ten in yards allowed instead of wins.
  17. dez bryant, coincidentally from same school as blackmon. to be fair to prince, blackmon is by most accounts better than dez.
  18. what happened? you don't want to discuss this anymore boo?
  19. oooohh got me there. ofcourse you can notice i wasn't behind it 100% when i stated as much on page one.
  20. haha, i wasn't criticizing the guy for NOT playing nfl ready wr's. I"m criticizing for his performance vs the top tier talent in Justin Blackmon. he hardly has any control over his schedule. how ridiculous pieboy?
  21. ofcourse you would, your qb is already on this list.
  22. 1 td and 1 int. pedestrian performance by ben, game winning drive or not. combine that performance with his first sb win and you have the reason he's on this list. 9/23 123 yds 0 tds 2 ints vs seattle=shitty 29/53 for 379yds 1td and 3 picks in sb victories=shitty true, the author claims consideration for all career stats, but i am not the author. interesting that elisha did the same thing, yet youre not defending her here.
  23. haha right, what point are you making? that o'donnell was the 12th highest rated qb that year and had the lowest int % prior to the superbowl? or that the cowboys had the 3rd ranked defense and held opposing qb's to a 72 rating avg that year? or that o'donnell had to throw at brown because there was an all-pro on the other side of the field? what exactly is your point?
