  1. This Sunday will determine who our coach is next season. Take it to the bank.
  2. Yep. The Giants will crush our hopes this time by falling short in their comeback bid. after trailing at the half. Pack 35 Giants 31
  3. Well, look at it this way... they have videos... we have 100 JackStroud threads.
  4. Who cares... the Giants deserved to lose. If we had somehow won off of something like that, it would almost be more pathetic.
  5. You know the funny thing though? When this team totally seems like it needs a complete revamping, that's when they do really well. The year we won the Super Bowl, Eli had his annual late-season swoon, and our receivers led the NFL in dropped passes. Webster was on his way to getting cut and our secondary was in shambles... but we went on and won the Super Bowl. Press releases had Reese beginning to scout QBs to draft at the midway point, but everyone pulled their shit together at the right time. Of course, now that I said that, we really will have a collapse, but still, one can hope.
  6. Unfortunately.... that's bullshit. It's an invented story by the media to hype up playoff games. Bullshit.
  7. Well, we're hoping we go into Philly and knock the Eagles out of the playoffs. If we only have, say, ten things go wrong in the last eight minutes instead of a dozen, it's possible. Nice BadEgg impression, by the way. You almost ended up on the "possibly dead" thread.
  8. I'm not sure Matt Dodge contributes to our wins. I'm sure he contributes to our losses. He has to go.
  9. Matt Dodge still fumbles punts, shanks in a big spot, and does things like blow games by kicking line-drive punts to the league's best returners. "Where was the coverage?" Thirty yards behind the punt... since the punter gave the coverage units no time to get downfield. He was told to kick the ball out of bounds. Instead he was arguably the biggest contributor to the most heartbreaking loss in recent memory... if this were the playoffs, we'd be mentioning him with Trey Junkin. Dodge is 25th in the league in net punt average. Only seven guys are worse. SEVEN. He's only a "keeper" if we like non-clutch guys who blow it in the big spot. Does anyone REALLY feel good about this guy going into the playoffs?
  10. I hear what you're saying, but the "10 other guys and the special teams coach' don't shank a punt that goes directly to the best returner in the NFL. The "10 other guys and the special teams coach" don't routinely fumble snaps that lead to great field position and points for the other team. The "10 other guys and the special teams coach" don't take a million years to get a kick off that results in blocked punts. See what I'm saying? I don't think Quinn is very good but I think Matt Dodge flat-out sucks.
  11. The Giants gave the Eagles two victories, then decided to give them a third one, just to be safe.
  12. You know, I almost half-want us to lose out the rest of the way so we can hire BIll Cowher in the offseason.
  13. 1. How for all the talk of "General Tom," "Colonel Coughlin," "The Taskmaster," etc. we still week after week continue to see Giants players hold the ball carelessly. You learn "three points of contact" in Pop Warner, yet Hakeem Nicks, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Mario Manningham continue to hold the football like a loaf of bread (which lead directly to a fumble today, as if we couldn't see that coming). This leads me to believe that either a.) Coughlin is not addressing this, despite all his talk about ball control and turnovers, or b.) he is addressing it, but his players aren't listening and he's not holding them accountable. 2. How Matt Dodge is still on the team. I'm almost thinking about not watching any more Giants games in the regular season unless they cut him this week... seriously, it's that mind-boggling to me. He's the Jay Feeley of punters... can you think of a LESS clutch punter in the league right now? We might be in the playoffs and we're resting our fortunes on THIS guy?
  14. Giants have decided to give another game to the Eagles. Giants now stand at 8-5 and the Eagles advance to 11-4.
  15. You know, for about a decade, Seubert has really been the unsung heart and soul of this team. He arrived as an undrafted free agent with a longshot to make the team. He not only made the team, he kicked Keith Hamilton's lazy ass in the process. He sustained a career threatening leg injury. He worked himself back into shape through IMMENSE pain and became a starter again. He had his job threatened by the arrival of Barry Stokes, David Diehl, William Beatty, Shawn Andrews, etc... but he keeps fighting and consistently holds onto the starting job. Most importantly, he's mean, doesn't back down, and takes NO shit from nobody... and can really, really play. I say keep him in as long as possible.
  16. Ahh, echo... 9 out of 10 times I'm gonna agree with you... but Giants stadium was one of the quietest places in the NFL back in it's day. I usually go to between 3-6 home games every year. One year when we were playing the Eagles for a playoff spot, I was the ONLY one yelling, clapping, etc... for THREE whole rows. There was a kid four rows up who was doing the same thing, and every once in a while he'd shoot me a 'what the fuck" expression and I would shrug and throw him one right back. I've had people get upset that I'm "being too raucous" at the games because I actually want to HELP my team win by yelling and clapping my hands on third down. This new stadium is maybe a little bit louder, but it's still pretty quiet compared to the Arrowheads of the world.
  17. This. If the NFL thinks "their brand" should spotlight thugs, then great. I think the NFL execs are pieces of shit in addition to Vick. I dunno man... when the guy has a three-week stretch of multiple picks per game or the Eagles hit a losing streak, watch the fans turn on him... then watch him turn back into the asshole we all know and love.
  18. Any chance we can sign this guy? The name has "Pro Bowler" written all over it.
  19. What they need to do is institute a rule where the quarterback wears a pink jersey and skirt... maybe a tu-tu. That way D-linemen will think twice before hitting them. Well, except maybe Christian Peter.
  20. Reid bitching about it was classic. A legal hit, in bounds, and the guy has a fucking hernia on the sidelines.
  21. No thanks. We have great team chemistry right now and we don't need Fat Albert to come in and fuck that up.
  22. ...I'd say I'm pretty much spot-on except for #4, and hopefully we do better than #5. TU:
  23. His blocking is insanity and he can actually run AND catch the ball. It wouldn't surprise me if Hedgecock isn't brought back.
