I've never been a great Posada fan, mostly because he's always been too laid back for a catcher. But this year he seems to be taking charge behind the plate, and his bat has come alive just when we need it most with Matsui and Shefield out.

Mariano seems to be lacking arm strength, and the only way I know of getting it back is put him in a game where he’d get a high pitch count of at least 50 or preferably more. I think his location problem would improve with more consistent use.

I'm in agreement simply because A-Rod wasn't the MVP of the Yankees. I can think of 4 Yankees who were more deserving of that, namely Jeter, Giambi, Matsui, and Shefield.
