  1. there's not star in the lot. A few might have had a career year once, but their overall body of work is average at best. I find it hard to believe a mediocre player like Eric hosmer turned down a seven year deal worth nearly 200 million. Better, more cost controlled players can be had via trade and that's what everyone but the awful angels have done. Though the Mets did get a good deal with Todd Frazier. Look, if the yankees can get darvish on a three year 50 million dollar deal, I'm with it..but I wouldn't give any of these guys more than three years with a Max if 17 mil per.
  2. The reason nobody is getting signed is because this is the weakest free agent class of recent memory. If these mediocre players don't want to take one and two year deals..fuck em. No team needs them.
  3. Agree with Vernon, he could be an excellent linebacker in a 3-4. Might rejuvenate his career..not that he has had a bad one, but I always thought he could be even better
  4. I know it's not happening, but I'm still hoping that the Giants hire McDaniels. I think shurmur will last two seasons at the most. I wish Wellington was still around
  5. I like that del rio is a fiery guy. I think this team needs a guy like that. Why did we let coughlin go again?
  6. I feel like the best football head coaches are coaching lifers..never players
  7. guess anyone who has only just played for the Patriots is a genius coach too.
  8. take the best college players at each position, and the best college coach and have them play the browns..i assume the score of that game would be something like 134-0 Browns. I don't even think the college team would make a first down It's a different game, it needs to be coached differently. Can't compare them... Guy in Seattle learned that. And yes, college sucks
  9. Well the Giants proved to be incompetent in nearly all facets this year...maybe drafting Webb was one if the few things they did right. Not playing him might be part of the incompetence. The Giants didn't know what to do about anything this year. I take all their decisions with a grain of salt. If Webb had stayed in grad school and put up the same numbers as he did the year prior, would he be considered one of the best QB's in this draft? I don't know..I don't know anything about college football other than it's awful. I couldn't scout a player if my life depended on it...but given the overall incompetence of the Giants this year, who knows what Webb is or could be? And a good running back is a tremendous advantage...look at the teams in the playoffs....McCoy, gurley, the two guys on the jags et cetera. Having a top notch running back, even in this pass dominated game of today, is a tremendous asset. I wouldn't mind a stud running back with darkwa behind him
  10. Guy is certainly talking the talk. There's nothing I haven't like that's he has said so far. From the info we have and the things he has been saying, it seems we got lucky he was available. Guys seems determined to turn things around quickly..talks like a new Yorker/north Eastern guy..I like him...but talk is cheap so we shall see..but I don't know how any Giants fan cannot like him at this point.
  11. you can't compare them...cashman is the best gm in the game..has been..guy is a ninja..cilmbs buildings and jumps out of planes in the off-season. He is as smart and shrewd as their is. Again, I'm not taking anything away from the Giants in general...if they never left ny, I'd be a giants fan today..my father was a giants fan, but switched to the Yankees when they left for San Fran. It's hard to win the world series..but sabean is not a good gm
  12. he is widely known as a bad gm. The giants won in spite of his awful work. And what did he do in the 15+ years before that? Even he couldn't fuck things up with those draft picks that turned out to be studs and the division being terrible. Not taking anything away, it's hard to win the world series..but sabean is a good scout, bad gm
  13. shows how much I pay attention...he still sucks. Who is their gm now, Evans? Whoever thier gm is, the horrible Brian sabean is their boss, so there's still the sabean factor to deal with. He loves making bad deals
  14. Mccutchen isn't going to be their leadoff cf? Well, lucky for the Giants, the Yankees have a native American cf leadoff hitter that can be had for almost nothing.. they'll even pay half his salary. Sabean is a terrible gm, sure he will make this trade
  15. I'm the dumbest, smart guy ever. Im like the Chinese but opposite..they're brilliant in the classroom, lab, Dr. Office et...but can't figure out if an elevator goes up or down to save their lives. I have useless knowledge and couldn't pass a bmcc entrance exam
  16. well when it comes to monetary gain, it's business never personal. Do you..get that paper
  17. I am pretty sure booyah is talking about spags, not macadoo as he said the coach that finished the season. Boo...how about some clarification please?
  18. I think you're being fair, but I also think someone entirely new is what is wanted..a completely new staff
  19. I hate shaving, personally, I shave once every ten days or so...but it literally takes less than ten minutes to shave and I have very sensitive skin, if i were to shave every other day, I'd look like I had a skin disease. No excuse that he is too busy coaching not to shave
  20. Just to be clear, I have no problem with the weight of the HC....it's the big ironic or hilly beard that turns me off. I know a lot of men use facial hair like women use make-up...hide a double chin, cove bad cheekbones ect. I don't have a problem with that either. It's the having a beard because it's trendy or because they're a hill Billy that I dislike
  21. Looks like nobody knows anything. I think I agree with the whoever gets knocked out of the playoffs first is the guy thing. But who knows. Maybe they bring back jim fassell
  22. ridiculous to think otherwise..in any business. Really not smart. I'd give the edge to McDaniels because he has head coaching experience..he wasn't ready..I think that's the real problem with a lot of the coordinators..they're not ready to be head coaches... yet. Or they're just not HC material..not everyone is. Sean Mcvay is a little different...guy had head coaching pedigree...family of football executives and coaches..head coaches too..he was born to be a head football coach
