  1. That depends heavily on the results of the next 6 months. If the Giants have a losing record for the month of September, nearly every fan is going to see this as another year of failure in a series with no end in sight. I wasn't a big fan of McAdoo, liked Shurmur and also like Judge. I think Judge can deliver because so far he has me believing he is a younger Tom Coughlin.
  2. I don't care how many Giants were pro bowlers in any time span. Only thing that matters is wins and super bowl wins.
  3. I think there will be some more disappointment with the Giants first round draft choice this year than usual. Both sides of the ball need help, blue chip offensive tackles are very hard to find and we need at least 1 this year. Defense needs a star and the Giants being in a solid position to draft a star linebacker for the first time decades. Then we have the third choice of moving down the board and picking up an additional draft pick or two. I'd prefer one this year over next year just to move this team forward sooner rather than later.
  4. And Daniel Jones was a second rounder this time last year we would not even consider drafting because of our last Duke experience. There are about 3-4 players for the Giants in mock drafts at the moment.

Darius Slayton is the guy at the moment, he'll have to build on it next season to secure it.
  6. There is a possibility of this trade happening and there will be a dozen more potential trades talked about over the next few months. Players are going to drop and rise for the next couple of months at every position.
  7. Really curious to see what kind of team takes the field in September. Aside from the holdovers and Jason Garrett, left thinking who are these guys?
  8. I was skimming over how the former Detroit Lions GM regrets not drafting Aaron Donald. Giants drafted Odell Beckham Jr. and Aaron Donald was drafted next. I have to say that I'm still happy the Giants did draft Odell Beckham Jr even though it didn't work out the way any of us expected.

Good for him Giants better sign a capable backup during the off-season, a very cheap one.
  10. Strange that I'm pointing out that Jason Garrett does not sound like a Joe Judge hire but a John Mara hire. Judge has hired a couple coaches out of the AFC East so far and coaches he is familiar with. Does hiring the former head coach of an NFC East rival help the Giants when you think about how well the rest of the division knows Jason Garrett's play calling tendencies? I'm glad Judge kept a couple of coaches and just looking forward to seeing what kind of team he puts on the field in September.
  11. Judge is going to have to earn that third year. I think he can.
  12. You wanted McAdoo or Shurmur for one more year? McAdoo lost the locker room and Shurmur just lost. We can make excuses for pages and it keeps coming back to being competitive and winning games. Lets see if Joe Judge gets the message and keeps his locker room while winning games, he has his work cut out for him.
  13. There was the changing over of the defense from a 4-3 to a 3-4 and that has a greater impact on the front seven of a defense. The next factor cost of a few key players and their perceived value: Jason Pierre-Paul, Olivier Vernon accounted for over $30 million in cap space per year and were traded to clear cap and acquire draft capital. Damon Harrison also fits in that category.
  14. Joe Judge is a 38 year old Tom Coughlin
  15. So after watching his press conference I can see why he nailed his interview: We hired a 38 year old Tom Coughlin. He said all the right things and what I really focused in on was how he plans to utilize the roster. Now this is something we have seen and heard before yet I'm looking forward to seeing this team in August.
  16. So I was the only person that asked "Who" after reading this today? Acing the interview is one thing, turning it into results is another. Ben McAdoo and Pat Shurmur both aced the interview. Giants don't have to be bold, they have to be right as this is now the third head coach they are paying in four years. Yeah good thing they fired Tom Coughlin
  17. Give them 4 year rides as is standard. Ogletree isn't old, just expensive and unable to fulfill the role he is being paid to play. Have to wait for the next head coach and see what happens. Giants moving back to a 4-3? Can't rule that out yet.
  18. Players move up and down the board and most haven't even declared for the draft yet. The pick is going to be a combination of the two.
  19. I think Ron should have moved a little slower and listen to more offers. Wonder if Snyder hires a GM or lets Ron hire his own GM. Having the head coach hire the GM is the new thing these days.
  20. Tweets by twits I can wait till monday for a final answer or beyond. Whats the rush to fire the head coach if the next one isn't in line?
  21. I'll pass on Marvin Lewis, bring back Tom Coughlin if Marvin Lewis is on the table.
  22. In the never ending effort to seek clicks and more clicks on a Giants season gone sour, news is Tisch & Mara are split on how to proceed at the end of the season. Mara wants to wait and see while Tisch is ready to fire everyone and start from scratch. I believe in continuity to the point of it being a fault. Thought we could have stayed with Jim Fassel & Kerry Collins and just draft a LT Gallery, win a super bowl next season. Giants fired Fassel, cut Collins, Drafted Manning and won 2 super bowls. Clearly they knew it was time to pull the plug and they did, worked out great. Its been two years of Dave Gettleman and Pat Shurmur, not ready to cut our losses. I think a change needs to be made at Defensive Coordinator, probably some more coaches too. Shurmur should stay for one more year and Gettleman should be here for longer. I don't find the fault in how the seasons have been in Gettleman. The defense has been under performing for two seasons now while the offense has improved from year one to year two. The offense is not perfect but it has improved and the defense has gone from bad to historically bad. We don't need a reboot, just better results and most importantly, execution from the players on the field. Its not a question of talent, just effort. The defense lacks both at the moment. I do not like to say it but we have to give Pat Shurmur one more year.
  23. Replace Bettcher with Rivera and roll the dice on 2020 with Shurmur as head coach. Can Ron Rivera develop Daniel Jones? I'd rather have Shurmur work on Daniel Jones while we get someone who can do a better job on defense. Defense has been a disaster from one game to the next.
