  1. To be expected and it doesn't really bother me. The less hyped the Giants are, the better.
  2. I noticed this too and figured it was CBS' attempt to try and make a more interesting game out of one that many assumed would be an easy win for the Giants. They were trying any desperate attempt to keep the ratings up. They even went so far as to specifically refer to last weeks Rams game and how this was going to be different. Apparantly they lucked out as it probably did turn out to be pretty interesting for the viewers with no rooting interest in either team. Either way, the announcers looked like complete jokes.
  3. If that's the best thing you got going for you, then I'm glad to have been of service.
  4. I was indeed talking about Italian HotDog. I've been strictly lurking for quite a while. I like to mostly read and only post occasionally. Being here for the limited time I have and seeing multiple posts from Mr Hotdog, it's quite easy to pick up on his schtick. I started lurking here after another poster (martin I believe) recommended this one on another Giants board that was getting shut down. I heard about that site from a poster on NYYfans who posted it in the Giants Thread on that site. My user name on NYYfans is LongLiveBernie51! if any of you are members on that site as well. I've been enjoying the board and the quality posts by the informative posters that frequent this site.
  5. hmmm....I just assumed when he said "beyond me" that in order to stay in his third person shtick he should have said "beyond the dog". Who knows and really, I don't care anymore.
  6. He's definately slipped. Check out posts #3 and #22 in the giving eli a pass thread.
  7. I'm a Yankees fan and this Giants SB victory was by far more satisfying then witnessing the Yankees winning in their Dynasty years. That's how supremely awesome it was. I loved watching Eli transform in the later part of the season and each playoff victory was as equally satisfying as the next. If the Giants were expected to win them, as the Yankees were, I think it would have cheapened the thrill of seeing the Giants knock off 3 of the top favored teams. Not only that but end another team's perfect season that I had to hear about ad nauseum. It doesn't get any better. I didn't expect the media to throw a party. Especially ESPN whose headquarters are smack dab in Patriot territory. They were all hoping for the patriots win because that was the bigger story and we played the spoilers. People don't like it when their party is spoiled....especially people who stand to make a lot of money off that party. The players and organization loved it, I loved it and so did all the other people who love the Giants and/or hate the Patriots....that's all that matters.
  8. For the most part I agree, although I'm not too sure about the penalty that got Bradshaw's TD run called back in the NFC Championship game. I thought it was questionable at best but maybe I missed something.
  9. Giants: Hamilton, Chris Calloway, Rodney Hampton Other Sports: John Starks, Anthony Mason, Derek Harper, Charles Oakley, Patrick Ewing in 94...Donnie Baseball in 95
