I particulary like this thread. It has allowed mickeef, driven by his inferiority complex with regards to the Yankees, to make a complete ass out of himself.

I enjoyed the following bolded part of your post in that the same questions could be asked of many players that continue to associate with Mr Presinal and invite him to their public social events: Mr Ortiz...were you aware that Presinal was considered persona non grata in Major League Baseball? And if you were aware of that, why did you invite him to your celebrity golf event?

From what I have heard, the infield defense is already showing a dramatic improvement with the addition of Tex. Seems like the hesitancy to throw quickly to first that was there with Giambi is no longer an issue.

Take small comfort in knowing that the vast majority of hitters that Pedro faced were most likely roiding too. Still would make him a cheater amongst cheaters but that will probably be proven true about the majority of players in this era.

I think it definately makes everyone in those articles highly suspicious in this day and age. Some new and interesting info is coming out regarding an "associate" that Arod had who is a suspected steriod peddler, named Angel Presinal. Seems, Presinal "was banned from private areas of every MLB ballpark after an October 2001 incident involving an unmarked gym bag full of steroids" and that MLB urged players to avoid him. The most interesting part is that the article goes on to say this: "In addition to A-Rod, Presinal has worked with some of the game's biggest stars: Juan Gonzalez, Pedro Martinez, David Ortiz, Vladimir Guerrero, Bartolo Colon, Miguel Tejada, Adrian Beltre, Moises Alou, Jose Guillen, Ervin Santana, Ruben Sierra, Francisco Cordero, Jose Mesa and Juan Guzman, among others." Some pretty interesting names in there working with a guy that MLB has specifically stated to avoid. Pedro is one that truley surprises me although his sudden implosion when the Red Sox were finished with him and he went to the Mets would now make sense. Ortiz and some others, weren't as surprising. This would also explain Colon's sudden breakdown and Guillen's mood swings if true. Vlad has been a little broken down as of late as well, If I'm not mistaken. I'm going to enjoy watching Joba pitch 7 innings a game. In my opinion, he would be wasted in the bullpen where he would pitch one inning in games that the starter pitches well enough to give us the lead and only if the relief pitching ahead of him doesn't blow it. If Joba only had one or two pitches and one of them was dominant....like Mo's cutter...then I could see an argument being made. Joba has already shown he has enough pitches and the ability to have shutdown stuff that it would be a waste for him to be in the bullpen. The only people that would benefit from Joba pitching less in games are the Yankee opponents and their fans.

Unless someone is a bitter Red Sox fan whose world will be crushed when "insert beloved championship player's name" is released on that list. I'm sure that will be quite upsetting for them.
