  1. All starting capable WR's you cited, lol.
  2. Watch. He'll be a starter in the league next year.
  3. Can't really tell when he hasn't had a decent OL in years. Watch what happens when he hits the trade or FA market this year. Several teams will be after him.
  4. They've always had a great supporting cast around them. If anything, Eli's done more with less compared to them. Eli needs a good offensive line, as does any QB.
  5. Which one? Not that I've heard or seen. Are you thinking of Kubiak, the former Texans and Bronco's coach? Haley is the OC in Pittsburgh, and Whisenhunt the OC for the Chargers.
  6. First round QB's are typically a big crapshoot. There are no guarantees. I like the idea of drafting a QB PLUS bringing in either Case Keenum or Teddy Bridgewater for a look. Granted, Keenum is going to demand a big contract based on his play this year, potentially like 15-20mm per year for 3 - 4 years. Teddy Bridgewater might make more sense. In the FA Market, he'd command a lesser commitment, such as a 2 year $8-12mm contract. He showed potential when he was healthy, so see if he can pick it up again when back next year, and put an OL around him. If it doesn't work out, you have Webb and the 1st rounder to evaluate, waiting in the wings. There's nothing wrong with developing a draft QB behind the scenes and not starting him right away.
  7. Slim to no chance of that happening, if Eli didn't play well under those same conditions. If anything, the conditions are worse for Geno and Webb as, at least for a portion of the season, Eli had better receivers.
  8. I think you get nothing, other than him learning what it's like to play behind a shit offensive line, running for his life, taking sacks, and throwing the ball away constantly. If anything, the experience will kill his self esteem and confidence, and ultimately be counterproductive to his development.
  9. LOL, I was about to ask you to do the same. Flowers has had over 40 starts...and shown nearly no improvement. Maybe from a D+ to a C -. You guys are celebrating the C - students simply because they're doing better than their traditional D and F grades. It's like this "Flowers only had three plays this week where he ran around in a circle and didn't even touch the defender, versus his other games where he averaged four or five" LOL
  10. Ken Whisenhunt? He's a no nonsense guy like TC. Also how about Todd Haley?
  11. Like can he throw the ball away quickly enough, or take a sack without fumbling? That'll tell us a whole lot.
  12. When people say "Flowers is playing better" or "Wheeler looks okay" I look at that as an analogy to a perennial D student who, on one or two tests, scored a C -, therefore the parents shower them with praise and reward, lol
  13. Flowers has settled down? What games are you guys watching? He had like one or two OKAY games. Last week he was his old self. He's terrible at LT.
  14. Tape of him getting murdered because of an incompetent O-Line? Or tape of him throwing 2 yard out routes?
  15. So Mara claims he wants to look at what he has with our other QBs. The notion of "Let's look at what we have with other QB's" makes no sense and has no basis in reality. How is putting out Geno or Webb, under conditions where they have practically a practice squad caliber offense around them, and a particular weakness at OL, going to give you an accurate evaluation of "what we have" at QB besides Eli? These guys are going to get killed out there. We'll be seeing consistent three and outs, and 2 yard out routes, since that's about all this offense can muster without an OL. What does that tell you about your QB?
  16. This won't solve anything. We have a crappy OL as the core weakness, and practice squad caliber WRs
  17. What offense are you guys watching, claiming the OL isn't a significant weakness?
  18. We have much higher priorities, particularly OL, LB, DB, and WR.
  19. The future isn't so bleak for the Giants offense. OL - Keep Pugh, Fluker, Jones. They'll need to bring in two new starters, at the tackle position. Highest priority FA and draft picks, plus depth. TE - Should be fine with Engram and Ellison. RB - Gallman and Darkwa should be a decent combo, especially if we improve the OL. This would be the lowest of my off-season priorities. WR - Retain ODB, obviously. Not sure about Marshall's future, so we may need to bring in another WR, at least for depth. We're razor thin behind ODB and Shepherd, presuming Marshall isn't around. Roger Lewis and King are 4th WR's at best.
  20. He's had a couple bad games. He's a rookie. No big deal. Him, Darkwa, and Gallman have proven they have a future with this team.
  21. It's partially, but not all on him. He has about 6 practice squad caliber players playing alongside him, and a coach who thinks 2 yard out routes will get the offense moving.
  22. Love the commentary all week via the radio, star ledger posters; paraphrasing. "Flowers has really turned it around." "Giants may have something in Wheeler." Lol
  23. The entire offense played poorly, Eli included. Yes, Eli has shit to work with, but still.
