  1. Yup. The "bench manning" crowd have no rationale for the move. Mara, Reese, and McAdoo are a laughing stock.
  2. Okay...so the "bench manning" crowd keeps changing the story and their rationale for why manning was benched. - Geno gives us the best chance of winning. - We have to see what we have. - It's time to turn the page; Eli is finished. - We're doing it for Eli's health; he'll be back next year. - We're doing to because we're tanking for a better draft pick. So which is it? You guys keep jumping around and making it up as you go along.
  3. Again, what evaluation do you expect to get out of a QB behind a practice squad offense, particularly behind a practice squad offensive line? How well they throw the ball away? How well they take a pounding? How well they run for their life? How well they throw the 2 yard out routes? What information are you getting? If anything, it might be misleading information since this offense is so bad, and the personnel is not even realistic of what a future roster would look like. You're more likely to get the potential future QB killed and/or to ruin his confidence, than you are to "see what we have."
  4. I didn't say he's necessarily the QB for 2018, just that you get no meaningful evaluation out of putting Geno or Webb in under these circumstances. I don't buy the rationale of "let's see what we have" given this inept, practice squad offense we have.
  5. You keep changing the reasons for benching him. Now it's for his health? When did Mara or Mac tell us they're doing this out of concern for Eli's health?
  6. Let the guy who's been a freaking trooper and leader about it all season complete the season. Don't make him the scapegoat. They never told Eli they're doing this for his health.
  7. Like I said earlier, the next 5 games, we'll get to evaluate how well these two throw the ball away, take hits, take sacks, run for their lives, and complete the 2 yard out routes. Behind a practice squad caliber team. Not less than ideal circumstances. Unprecedented circumstances.
  8. What's the point of doing it now, with five games to go?
  9. Richardson is about to land a 20-30mm dollar contract. King was signed off the street, not even the practice squad, and few weeks ago. The guy wasn't even on any NFL teams practice squad! Lol
  10. Demonstrates QB play was the least of our concerns this season.
  11. I say again...put Brady, Rodgers, Newton etc on this roster right now...are the giants any better than a 2-4 win team through 11 games? And how is it possible they'd be better, when those guys have NEVER had to play with this dumpster practice squad caliber offense around them?
  12. 5 and 9. You referenced the SB's not me.
  13. He only engineered two of the greatest game winning comeback drives two times...after those amazing defenses blew the lead.... Not to mention all the away games he helped win in the playoffs leading up to those.
  14. I'll say it again as I've said a thousand times. QB play isn't the reason this team is 2-9 right now.
  15. You put any of those QBs, Rodgers or Brady as well, on this current Giants team....the team is still 2-9 or 3-8 at best.
  16. All starting capable WR's you cited, lol.
  17. Watch. He'll be a starter in the league next year.
  18. Can't really tell when he hasn't had a decent OL in years. Watch what happens when he hits the trade or FA market this year. Several teams will be after him.
  19. They've always had a great supporting cast around them. If anything, Eli's done more with less compared to them. Eli needs a good offensive line, as does any QB.
  20. Which one? Not that I've heard or seen. Are you thinking of Kubiak, the former Texans and Bronco's coach? Haley is the OC in Pittsburgh, and Whisenhunt the OC for the Chargers.
  21. First round QB's are typically a big crapshoot. There are no guarantees. I like the idea of drafting a QB PLUS bringing in either Case Keenum or Teddy Bridgewater for a look. Granted, Keenum is going to demand a big contract based on his play this year, potentially like 15-20mm per year for 3 - 4 years. Teddy Bridgewater might make more sense. In the FA Market, he'd command a lesser commitment, such as a 2 year $8-12mm contract. He showed potential when he was healthy, so see if he can pick it up again when back next year, and put an OL around him. If it doesn't work out, you have Webb and the 1st rounder to evaluate, waiting in the wings. There's nothing wrong with developing a draft QB behind the scenes and not starting him right away.
  22. Slim to no chance of that happening, if Eli didn't play well under those same conditions. If anything, the conditions are worse for Geno and Webb as, at least for a portion of the season, Eli had better receivers.
  23. I think you get nothing, other than him learning what it's like to play behind a shit offensive line, running for his life, taking sacks, and throwing the ball away constantly. If anything, the experience will kill his self esteem and confidence, and ultimately be counterproductive to his development.
