  1. The 5 yard hitch routes have the defense terrified.
  2. This is going to be the defense all year. No pass rush. Inexperienced secondary. Ball rammed down our throats all year.
  3. Will we be okay with only 5 d linemen? Won't these guys tire out towards the end of drives, and fourth quarter?
  4. He's the starter for NO? That team is in trouble.
  5. I'll say this. I don't want to overanalyze a rookie Qbs preseason, but Jones is clearly on another level in comparison to recent preseasons from young giant qbs, such as Davis Webb, Kyle Lauletta (though he improved this year), Ryan Nassib, etc. He's far beyond those guys. It's a low bar to set I know, but I'm pretty optimistic about Jones. What I like best is the very strong accuracy.
  6. Well he can't play OL,so maybe DL is his calling?
  7. Beckham will play 10 games this year and he have 48 catches for 700 yards.
  8. As I've said before, the joke is on Cleveland.
  9. I'm quite comfortable with Latimer and Russel Shepard at the 2 and 3 spot for the first four games. We'll be fine.
  10. AND his base salary this season, ie his per game salary, is relatively low, so he's not losing much dough thanks to the suspension.
  11. Relax. As I said on the other thread, between R Shepard, Latimer, Fowler, one of these guys will step up...Latimer has shown flashes in the past. Between that, Engram (wherever he lines up), and S Shepard and Slayton returning soon, I'm not too worried about the passing attack. Then week 5, Tate comes back.
  12. Pessimistically, there's our starting center:-(, getting burned a la 2017 and 2018.
  13. Between Russel Shephard, Fowler, and Latimer, plus hopefully Sterling and Slayton ready to go week 1, I'm not overly concerned about the passing attack. One or more of those backups should step up, like Latimer who has flashed at times.
  14. What's a good coverage grade? An average and poor one as well? I don't follow PFF so I have no context.
  15. C'mon Latimer and Fowler. Now is your opportunity.
  16. As I said earlier, I feel bad for Cleveland. They got a lemon.
  17. Shepherd Tate Engram Barkley Relax people. We are fine at the skill positions. We even have promising backups and an interesting rookie in Slayton. As always, the offense will cone down to the OL.
  18. We will know in 2-3 years who got the better deal.
  19. I say again, I feel bad for the browns. They'll be lucky if they get 10 games out of him per year.
  20. I'm intrigued about the defense in particular, because they well could be a boom or bust: - How the secondary will come together. Two new prospective starting safeties, and entirely new CB's behind Janoris Jenkins, Beal, Love, and Baker. Or will Tony Lippett and Grant Haley be in the mix. - What pass rusher(s) will emerge (if any) - Young but promising DL. I'm interested to see how they hold up. The offense I'm not too worried about. I figure the OL will be better this year with Zeitler, Remmers, with Hernandez having a season under his belt, and a Solder without off the field/family distractions.
