  1. So what happens if the Giants just trade back and we have to wait another day? Would give me a laugh.
  2. Yeah and I recall posting a thread about how they were going to try and not "spoil" the draft by showing what players are talking on the phone before the pick. Now we have teams coming out and saying who they are going to draft before the draft even happens.
  3. So the first three picks are looking like Colts: Luck 'Skins: RG3 Browns: Richardson
  4. http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/09000d5d828a185e/article/browns-acquire-no-3-pick-from-vikings-for-no-4-three-others?module=HP11_headline_stack
  5. No official draft thread 30 mins before the draft so I decided to try my hand at one of these official threads. Post whatever happens during the draft and lets welcome whoever JR decides to add to the Giants family.
  6. Depth signing. I remember him being accused of alot of dirty play though when he was with the Lions and Cleveland, not to mention the sexual assault charges and being caught with a loaded gun in an airport. See how long he will last in NY.
  7. I'd highly doubt Miami would trade the #8 for Osi and the last pick in the first round, maybe if it was Osi, the first and a third. Besides if Miami wanted a DE why not pick that Melvin kid who is arguably the JPP of this draft and have him for his entire career, I was thinking more or less move into the mid to late teens with the Osi trade.
  8. Depends on what the Giants get for Osi. If it's something like move up in the first round and get some top ten player who slid down, then I think it would be worth it. Maybe even for an extra second round pick. But I think if it's only for a third or later, I would rather just let Osi play for another year then let him walk somewhere else.
  9. Everyone has a mock on this board and I'm telling you right now, JR and Coughlin are drafting a duck. JR has proven to know something about players coming out of college and knowing what the team needs and he knows the Giants need a duck. Championship 2012.
  10. This shit is pure comical but at the same time it makes you think, the Saints are being caught, What are other teams doing around the league?
  11. Knowing the Giants, it wont be anything anyone expect. Maybe a center. Or a backup QB.
  12. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82869a69/article/nfl-nfl-network-espn-to-reduce-draft-tipoffs?module=HP11_headline_stack Hated when they would cut to the back room and you would see whoever was on the phone, glad they are going to try to adress it.
  13. I'd say the RB. We just traded for a LB and resigned Chase. I dont see the need for a first round TE, we dont use them in Gillys offense. With Bradshaw being the Giants only seasoned back and Brown getting hit with the 'roid charges we need someone who can split the carries. Scott may be the guy but at the same time I'd rather us bring a RB in who can eventually spell Bradshaw in the next couple of years.
  14. Mara has been hard on his knees to get that second bye week.
  15. Wants to get rid of kickoffs all together. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82850481/article/new-york-giants-owner-john-mara-envisions-end-to-kickoffs?module=HP11_headline_stack
  16. Keep them all. Giants track record by week 8 half of these guys will be on IR.
  17. I think it just comes down to money. The Giants are playing with very little cap room. Now obviously Chase isnt asking for a 50 million 4 year contract but I'm sure his agent is sitting there playing the "Hey before you signed Chase your LBs looked like crap, with Chase you won a SB, pay him some money" I can see JR not signing Chase until after the Giants start signing draft picks.
  18. What do you expect when the Giants barely have enough cap room to sign the draft picks coming up.
  19. You know. Still dont understand all the hate he gets.
  20. The Bongles have depth at LB, Howard and Malalwalalaluuga are excellent starters. Rivers has been a "bust" if you compare him to most LBs taken in the first round, he's been injured every season he's played and outside of his rookie year his stats arnt anything impressive. The Bongles are rebuilding as well, new QB, they want to put pieces around him for the future, I think they have four 5th round picks or something now, I imagine they can use them to trade up. I think this is a case about the Giants getting a hold of the Bongles at the right time and getting a player that the Giants feel will make them a better team in return the Bongles get a 5th round pick that they never would of thought of getting for Rivers.
  21. I wonder if Jacobs know that Jerome Bettis is from Detroit which happens to be the same place the he played in a Superbowl.
  22. I'll take it for a 5th. Giants still have two 4ths. Should be starting day one.
