Herc
I will never ever ever be able to predict what draft pick value anybody is worth
boohyah
The talk was he was getting cut so the Browns gave up that much just put them to the front of the line. Good move for them, I can't see Landry staying now his buddy has left.
BlueInCanada
I'm surprised the Cowboys were able to find a buyer. All reports were Cooper was as good as cut this year.
CrazedDogs
I'm a little confused, a surefire cut or not I expected there to be a trade pick bidding war. I was thinking 2nd round pick for him. Unless his level of play has fallen off that much.

If anything the Cowboys were probably begging the Browns for this deal. Not to mention the 20 some odd million cap hit Cooper is carrying.
Herc
I’m just shocked they basically got a fifth for a guy they basically announced they were cutting. At his best he’s a boom or bust guy. Hate receivers like that

I must be out of touch on what level Cooper is on these days. I was thinking of him as a sure #1 receiver, worth his $20 million. Took me by surprise that there weren't two or more teams that would be interested.
boohyah
He was likely to be cut for salary.Browns trade scrap draft picks to take him now rather than teams bidding on him later when he's free. Jarvis Landry is going to be leaving Cleveland and OBJ is already gone, so Cooper will get a decent deal from the Browns and he wasn't bad last year although he's had better years. Plus the guy is 27, he's younger than both of those guys.
gmenroc
But who is gonna throw to him in Cleveland with failed attempt to land Watson and now a butt-hurt Baker wanting out? I think Cooper is worth a 6th rounder and swapping 5ths to get him without entering a bidding war with other interested teams
