Report: Giants RB Orleans Darkwa has leg injury

The Giants look to be down a man in their four-back rushing committee already, according to a new report.

Orleans Darkwa will not participate fully in the team’s practices for the next month as he deals with a small fracture in his tibia, a source near the team informed NJ Advance Media on Wednesday.

The injury is not considered serious and Darkwa “could play if necessary.”

Darkwa did participate in the two week period of strength and conditioning the team arranged recently.

An undrafted free agent originally signed by Miami, Darkwa found himself at the back of the line in the Giants’ overpopulated depth chart after the team signed him midway through his rookie campaign. He burst onto the scene in the team’s Week 8 victory over Dallas, when he rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown. Darkwa finished the season with 153 total yards.

The Giants expect him to compete for time behind starter Rashad Jennings and reservists Andre Williams and Shane Vereen.

Dammit Coughli, Palmieri

...wait who's gonna take the blame now?

I blame a lack of vitamin D and calcium...who the fuck are the nutrition experts we have for this team?! Get the man a damn glass of milk!

Nice!

The good news is that next fall I'll be replacing the NFL Sunday Ticket with the Hockey package instead.
