Giants front office

With all the Burress discussions, the dog hasn't noticed any accolades to the front office for structuring the contract wisely...not that it necessarily took a great genius to protect themselves from a burress-type character, but it was still good planning...

You are correct Dog. The FO of the Giants have really been amazing. They have made wise contract decisions (letting Wilson/Mitchell go), drafted amazingly well, had faith in Coughlin when few else did, and as you mentioned, protected themselves with the Plaxico contract. Furthermore, just dealing with Plaxico and other discipline problems prior to this incident. They have been measured and fair. Reese, Coughlin, Tisch and Mara are big reasons why the Giants are one of the top organizations in the NFL, on and off the field.

No he's not. When all of this first broke, a few people brought that up before anyone else. Pay closer attention dog. Or better yet, just scram. :)

Why was that a good decision? Mitchell has had an outstanding year in Buffalo and would have been even better here.

you know, for all of the recent accusations that the dog follows you around made by others here, the dog still maintains that if someone had the time and/or inclination (and the dog sure hopes they don't for their own well-being) to reexamine threads over the last year and a half, it would be quite obvious that you in fact initiate a large majority of the interactions...

When was the last time this joker was around? He conveniently comes back on the day Egg returns from his hiatus.... Once again

barking up the wrong tree again...the dog was around the last several weeks, and to the dog's knowledge, badegg was not...but then again, if conspiracy theories keep you going, then spin on...anything to offer regarding the post?

I agree with the post... I'm just waiting for a 2nd post in which you bash the Giants.... god forbid you gave them credit for an 11-1 record... not really a single weakness on this team this year. It must be driving you nuts.

it's your normal bullshit post. even when you make a halfway decent point, you taint it by implying "none of you other monkeys thought of this" that's why you have no friends except egg, dogbreath.

the dog can't help your low self-esteem if you think that is where this thread was going...the dog has complimented the giants front office/o-line/d-line and defensive coordinator repeatedly....should you choose to focus your attention elsewhere, then so be it...

Low self esteem?? Seems to me someone who speaks in the 3rd person has more self esteem issues than most.

Why was that a good decision? Mitchell has had an outstanding year in Buffalo and would have been even better here.

At the time of his departure and given the amount of money the Bills paid him, many of us thought letting him go was the right thing to do. Sure we'd would've liked him to stay but the thinking was he was out of our price range and that his success was a product of the system more than anything.

This is what I meant, thank you, Nas. Mitchell had a great year for us and I do like him... and he has had a nice season in Buffalo. I'm just saying we got a pretty good replacement veteran linebacker for a lot less. From a purely personnel standpoint, it would have been a mistake to let him go. But from a fiduciary standpoint, we did the right thing in not paying him the top money he got from Buffalo.
