  1. Where do you guys hear these rumors? If the Giants were going to make a move like this, they should have jumped on the Baker train. No thanks.
  2. I get that, but a conditional fifth 2 years from now for a former #1? It's laughable. And the Panthers are only paying him like $5 million. Could've brought him here and let him and Tyrod battle it out for 2nd string. Hell, throw all 3 in the mix and best player starts. I dunno, seemed to me the guy wasn't THAT bad in Cleveland, at least not bad enough where a change of scenery wouldn't give him a jump start. Plus he got the Browns on the + side of the win column...more than Jones has done so far.
  3. Plus it's a "conditional" pick. You're telling me we couldn't have come up with a "conditional" 2023 4th? He also took a $3.5 million pay cut. I think we could have groomed him into something special with Daboll.
  4. ...and in the 2025 draft the NY Giants select: https://www.nfl.com/news/top-qb-recruit-arch-manning-nephew-of-peyton-and-eli-commits-to-texas
  5. My point exactly. Since LT left, every year it's every Giants fan's dream to find the next LT. Now Eli is gone and the same thing is happening.
  6. I think we'll win enough games to knock us out of the top 10, and the playoffs despite Jones. Maybe we pick 12-13. That'll keep us from getting a top tier QB in the draft, but we'll make a splash in free agency on a vet with all the billions in cap space we'll have. Our search for a franchise QB is turning into the same search for LT's replacement.
  7. My point was that he ranked Primetime as his number 1 over LT as his number 3. He's an idiot. And the only one that didn't rank LT as his number 1.
  8. Top 3 defensive players of all time and he picks as his number 1.... https://www.nfl.com/news/top-three-nfl-defensive-players-of-all-time-aaron-donald-lawrence-taylor-among-a#:~:text=like him since.-,Maurice Jones-Drew,-Deion Sanders He stands alone.
  9. Who are we talking about?
  10. I was just shocked there was no noise on here about it. No "the sky is falling" posts. Not a peep.
  11. New York Giants rookie pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux got twisted up with an undisclosed injury a couple of weeks ago during organized team activities and has been seen practicing in a non-contact red jersey ever since. Giants head coach Brian Daboll told reporters on Thursday he was hopeful Thibodeaux would be ready for the beginning training camp. "Knock on wood hopefully he'll be good to go," Daboll said, via ESPN's Jordan Raanan. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-roundup-latest-league-news-from-thursday-june-2#:~:text=New York Giants rookie pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux got twisted up with an undisclosed injury a couple of weeks ago during organized team activities
  12. He isn't doing too bad with the Bucs.
  13. Water? Who needs water with all the free booze at the slot machines?
  14. Then you should move out here. No state taxes, no city taxes, none of that shit from back east. Plus, it's 120 degrees in the summer, you'll never know the difference when you move to Yemen.
  15. I want someone else who will do this:
  16. I hope to God this kid turns out to be the next big personality on this team and give us some fucking Giants pride back.
  17. I have to be honest, and this is easy to say because I'm not a top notch athlete...if I got $11 million to not play, I'd just be done. At his age, I'd take the money, invest most of it so it kept making me money, keep some of it in a bank account to pay bills with, and keep the rest in a suitcase under my bed for partying and general bullshit. I'd buy a house outright and a car, maybe two. I'd get my mom a house with a casita or two for my siblings to live in, and buy her a car to get around in. Fuck risking getting injured chasing a football.
  18. Kansas City just got a bargain.
  19. It's his first draft. He got the ones right he should have and probably 1 or 2 more. I'll be more concerned if he screws up next year's draft when we have all that cap space to work with.
  20. Adam Schein NFL.com Contributing Columnist 2) New era for the New York Football Giants The Dave Gettleman era (error) is in the rearview mirror -- and it's quickly disappearing from sight, at least judging by Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll's initial first-round haul. The Giants haven't had a legit dude on defense -- someone the opposition fears -- in years. Enter Kayvon Thibodeaux, who came off the board as the No. 5 overall pick on Thursday. All that talk about his personality being a negative? Hogwash. I interviewed him last week on my SiriusXM Radio show, "Schein on Sports," and came away beyond impressed. That's one intelligent, interesting 21-year-old! Giants fans will love his attitude -- and most especially, his game-day domination. This cat's explosive off the edge. And Big Blue didn't just get a top-tier QB hunter in Round 1, but an elite QB protector, as well. Landing Thibodeaux and hulking OT Evan Neal? It was like a dream. The G-Men haven't won a playoff game since Eli Manning last hoisted the Lombardi Trophy. Over the past five years, they're tied with the Jets for the worst record in the NFL (22-59). With that stuff in mind, it's not hyperbole to say Thursday was the best day for the franchise in the past decade. I am so happy for longtime Giants fans.
