  1. i can see how you guys would think im on roids due to my bulging muscles and the mass destruction my flexing has caused such as the roman ruins, the grand canyon, and the tsunami; however I will not tolerate unsubstantiated rumors about non-baseball players, particularly myself. if this continues i will not hestitate to make california an island
  2. maybe it was a really emphatic agreement?
  3. oh come on guys it's not that flawless. im open to a little constructive criticism
  4. if frank thomas plays 120 games the A's are going to the world series. milton bradly and thomas are two HUGE pickups and blanton and haren will only improve
  5. this one's for 200 bucks, i had 4th pick out of 8 and skipped tex, manny and ortiz in favor of santana: 5x5 roto c ramon hernandez (im very big on him as an oriole) 1b giambi 2b cantu 3b ensberg ss lugo of abreu of beltran of tavaras util fielder bench frank thomas pitchers (2 sp, 2 rp, 3 p) santana peavy felix schmidt duke hudson seo liriano street hoffman mike gonzalez i want another OF. I was hoping to get bonds but someone took him right before i did in the 9th round. im thinking of trading one of my closers for a quality OF, maybe street since gonzalez is undervalued and hoffman's my boy
  6. blunatic: ok, putting the giants ahead of the pads, understandable. dodgers, understandable (though less so), but the d-backs? that's just a slap in the face! personally i think the good moves and bad moves even out. cameron for nady, good mirabelli for loretta, bad bad bad ramon hernandez out, piazza in. bad eaton/otsuka out, young/gonzalez in, good. anyway here are my predictions: al east yanks sox jays o's rays al central sox indians--wc twins tigers royals al west a's angels rangers mariners nl east mets braves-wc phils nats marlins nl central(if clemens plays for the stros) cards stros pirates cubs brewers reds NL central (if clemens retires or goes to another team) cards pirates cubs stros brewers reds NL West (if bonds is bonds and plays 120 games) giants pads dodgers d-backs rockies NL west (if bonds doens't play 120 games or has a sammy sosa-esque decline) pads giants dodgers d-backs rockies A's win world series over cards there's no dominant team this year. MVPs AL- A-rod, Ortiz, Vlad, Manny NL- Pujols, Bonds, Lee, Delgado Cy Young AL- Halladay, Hernandez, Santana, Harden NL- Peavy, Clemens, Carpenter, Pedro
  7. i've never criticized, much less addressed, any of you. you have me confused with someone else
  8. yes, he is and now his running game will be even more potent without teams stacking 8 in the box. parcells is kind of clueless in the running game as he actually thinks marion barber should be splitting carries with julius jones--but that's besides the point. bledsoe had a very very good season last year and if terry glenn can excel with him at qb then owens can too. we've never been able to cover owens and the cowboys are now a better team in '06. yes im more worried about the redskins as well, but i'd rather be worried ONLY about the skins. with TO joining dallas that will not be the case
  9. TO will be on his best behavior this season. im not happy about this move as I think it will make the cowboys a very tough matchup next season, we're historically terrible against owens and i'd rather we be competing against one team (redskins) for the division title. yes there's potential for owens to wreck the cowboys and force parcells into retirement, but if it happens i dont think it's happening next season and that's what i'm concerned about right now
  10. strahan and osi aren't 3-4 DE's
  11. come on guys, how can any giant fan think kurt warner is taking ANY team to the playoffs? they made a huge mistake letting mccown go and giving warner an extension
  12. lol wow now i've seen everything
  13. yeah padres. and speaking of mets and padres let me be the first to inform you guys that you didn't get hosed on the cameron deal. nady's the real deal and single handedly kept our offense afloat in april and may last season. dont know if he'll hit the wall if he gets 500-600 at bats this season but IMO (and i watch plenty of yankees and mets games to compensate for not watching my own team) he's better than diaz and should be the starter
  14. you guys are going to end up regretting that move. he's gonna kill it in Los Angeles. the benson trade was enough, u got bullpen help and a setup man
  15. here's one i did the other day. it's a meaningless league, when i do my money league draft i'll post it. i had 6th pick out of 8. c v-mart 1b derek lee 2b felipe lopez 3b ensberg ss reyes lf matsui cf cameron rf ichiro util fielder bench frank thomas pitchers (5 sp, 2rp, 1 p) santana felix duke hudson lowry street hoffman mike gonzalez joe blanton francisco liriano
  16. the yanks overpaid for him, but it was going to be very tough to get someone young and fast who could meet yankee-sized expectations, especially considering the yanks' prestigious CF history. the truth is he was probably the best option, and the mets werne't going to trade cameron to the yanks
  17. bill simmons is by far the best sports journalist out there. i dont know who's second and i dont care, cuz no one else comes close
  18. easily a top 10 player. it's sickening how underrated he is
  19. with yahoo leauges you can draft offline and then the commissioner fills in the players for each team. if we can all manage to be online at the same time then we might as well do the live yahoo draft. the only reason why i was suggesting doing it on the board was in case we can't all be online at the same time. i dont know about you guys but i dont wnat the computer autopicking my team--maybe basketball, but no way in baseball, there are way too many darkhorses and overvalued players. as for possible cheaters, we could have each team manager PM their pick to one person and have them post their pics for them on whatever thread we do this on
