  1. She writes "Thomas" too much, which is really redundant and amateurish. How about a "he," a "Giants nickel corner" or "the former second-round pick?"
  2. Awesome article... but I see more and more crap writing from journalists every day. The Thomas article about Thomas talked about Thomas and what Thomas meant to the team and if Thomas had a drink every time Thomas was mentioned or Thomas was quoted, Thomas would have to go to the Thomas and Thomas rehab center. Seriously, how do some of these people keep their jobs?
  3. Nobody will ever forget that catch. We're going to be watching highlights of that for the rest of our lives.
  4. ...Jacobs has to stop running like a 270-lb pussy. The end.
  5. Who prayed for that? I was praying that the Panthers wouldn't offer him a job...
  6. It's great that Fewell as "fire and engergy..." but I saw TWO huge red flags in there. 1. Aaron Ross, Corey Webster, and Terrell Thomas are all press corners... why wouldn't you play to their strengths? Webster in particular sucked as a zone corner. 2. If we're not having a Defensive Line rotation, why do we have 15 thousand D-linemen? I'm starting to get a bad feeling about this...
  7. It was a combination of Sheridan being a milk douche and the fact that literally EVERY one of our starting defenders was hurt to varying degrees.
  8. ...any word on Pete Monty's current employment situation?
  9. Ironically... Ron Dayne has also reported to camp more than 100,000 lbs over his playing weight.
  10. It's arthritis in his knee, Temp. It's not going to get any better, you don't "recover" from arthritis. And he only lasted TWO games last year before he had to hang up the cleats. It's not like he got hit and had it injured... it just wore out. LIke I said, he might gimp around for a few more years, but his career is effectively over... and the fact we picked up three safeties in the offseason only underscores my point.
  11. This is like the LEAST controversial statement ever.
  12. I'd say he's only an average NFL receiver. Remember, if he doesn't drop that pass against the Giants in the playoffs a few years back, then everyone would be talking about the classic Dallas vs Green Bay championship game.
  13. Double or nothin, Crickey Mc Wallaby! A buck says the guy never makes the Pro Bowl!
  14. Exactly. The only thing that fixes his injury is knee replacement. He might gimp around for another year or two but his best days are sadly behind him.
  15. I say three straight triple-reverses. A little razzle-dazzle! That'll show 'em!
  16. And keep his feet in bounds.
  17. Smith and Nicks are near locks, but I could see either Hixon or Barden in on 3-wide sets. I could easily see Barden on the outside with one of the other guys moving to the slot for certain formations.
  18. Sinorice Moss is going to push him outta that spot en route to 2300 yards and 32 TDs this season.
  19. Wow... Boothe out, Boss having surgery, and Nicks, Bradshaw, and Phillips all unable to practice. ...sounds like we're in midseason form to me!
  20. I think Goff was the guy who was mostly on injured reserve his rookie year.
  21. Here are my predictions: Dallas: They should be at least as good as last year, as Flozell was pretty much the only "major" loss and was clearly on the downside of his career. They had a wicked good draft and and have a solid QB, RB, and defense, but like many teams, one or two key injuries will derail them. I think Barber is washed up (like Jacobs) but I think both backs have something to prove... Jones could be a good one if he's ever healthy for a full season, and Miles Austin looks like he may in fact be the real deal. Dez Bryant won't do anything in year one, and could very well develop into "T.O. lite." Philly: Honestly, who knows? The McNabb-Westbrook era is over, and unless the new guys deliver (Kolb and McCoy) then Reid will be shown the door by season's end, too. We're finally going to find out if Reid is a good coach surrounded by overrated players or vice versa. Their D seems solid but unspectacular, and I still think DeSean Jackson will show that he's a real diva asshole this season. I predict a solid start to the season, fillowed by a meltdown when adversity strikes. Washington: Another year where a new coach/marquee player swoops in to save the francise... another 6-10 year. This time it's Shanahan and McNabb... just like Joe Gibbs, Steve Spurrier, Bruce Smith, Deion Sanders, Jesse Armstead, Jeremiah Trotter, etc. were supposed to do. Don't believe the hype... they're the Redskins. Their toxic owner poisons every level of that organization. Giants: I think Fewell lights a fire under this defense, which will be good for at least two more wins (it's difficult to imagine them finishing any WORSE in that department from last year). The huge hole at LB, however, has me worried, but that was supposed to be our biggest weakness going into last offseason and it was arguably our biggest strength, so I feel a little better there than I did at draft time. The Giants are Eli's team, and he knows it and will play like it. I think Jacobs is basically done other than a short yardage guy, so I expect we'll probably see the Ahmad Bradshaw show with a healthy dose of the other guys mixed in. This is the year Hakeem Nicks really makes a name for himself. So overall, it looks like this: Dallas: 11-5 Eagles: 9-7 Washington: 6-10 Giants: 10-6
