  1. Kafka is apparently very spectrum-y, from what I've gathered.
  2. This right here. Very happy with the hire but we can't assume he'll get these guys to play to an NFL-level just because of his work with the Raiders. We need 1-2 free agent O-linemen as well as 1-2 draft picks as well. If the Ezeudus and Neals of the team develop into competent players and we end up with too many good o-linemen, that's an awesome fucking problem to have.
  3. Wow. I wonder if he still wants to coach.
  4. Going to be interesting to see what happens with the bears. They kept Eberflus but fired the OC. Does that mean they believe in Fields? If so, Shoen needs to be on the phone looking to trade up if he thinks one of the top-3 guys is "the guy."
  5. Shit, that was the guy I wanted too. I've been watching Mike Onwenu from the Patriots whenever those games have been on the past few weeks. RT/RG versatility and looks very good from the (admittedly few) games I've seen. I'd love to sign a guy like that and let him and Neal compete at RT; loser gets moved inside to Guard.
  6. Man, what I wouldn't give for an o-line that only gives up 40 sacks...
  7. Tom Cable? He's a really fucking good coach.
  8. 1. His price. 2. He's a power back (we haven't had one in like five years). 3. He played half as many games as Saquon and had nearly the same per-game stats. 4. In the games he's played in he's been effective (4.2 ypc average). That to me is worth a 2 million dart throw as opposed to a 20 million one. Wouldn't be opposed to having both guys at the right price though.
  9. Spottrac puts Barkley's value at around 6 million per season. If we wanna give him a 3-year, 20 million deal with a year 3 out I could be talked into that. Making him the second highest paid back in the league is insane. Honestly, I'd much rather give D'onta Foreman another one year, 2 million deal and either get another vet like Edwards on the cheap or draft a mid-round guy to develop in the meantime. A franchise back should be the cherry on top of your franchise, not the main course. The focus this offseason should be o-line first, o-line second, and then o-line, in that order.
  10. 3 years, 40 million for Barkley? WTF are you smoking? Christian McCaffrey only made 16 mil this season and he's three times the player Barkley is. McKinney is a good safety against scrubs that gets fucking destroyed by good TEs, plus he runs his mouth and doesn't back it up with his play. He can walk. Simmons has been ok this year but I wouldn't break the bank for him either.
  11. I was thinking he'd be an excellent candidate too.
  12. Leslie Frazier worked with Daboll in Buffalo and wants to coach again.
  13. Fuck. Also not for nothing, but we really built a lot of this defensive personnel around what Wink liked to do.
  14. Getting the right guy under center goes a really long way.
  15. JS YOU IMGRATE SIGN MIKE MUNCHAK NOW!!!!!
  16. Yeah I'm definitely on Team Detroit this postseason. The Niners can go fuck themselves after the cheapshot bullshit they pulled earlier in the season.
  17. No losing records in the AFC North this season.
  18. We should be hiring the Eagles assistant OL coach.
  19. I watched some more Nabers film... he's a really intriguing prospect. He doesn't have elite speed at all but has elite literally everything else. Ball tracking, timing his jumps, manipulating DBs with head and shoulder fakes, etc. I know this is an absurd comparison but he reminds me of Jerry Rice a little bit.
  20. If we can't get one of the top 3 guys at QB (looking more and more likely) I think a trade down is probably a good idea. Don't count out a trade up as well. If Chicago decides to keep Fields, it would only cost our first, second, and next year's first to trade up to #1 and have our pick according to trade charts.
  21. I think Nabers or Olu will be the pick as well. Daniels will be gone by then and none of the top-3 teams will trade out of those spots because they all need QBs. A trade down might not be a horrible idea, but Nabers in particular is an amazing prospect from what I've seen so far (which isn't much).
  22. We fell one spot to six. Worth it. Fuck the Eagles.
