I don't. I'm going tomorrow, its the only chance to get a taste of Giants training camp that I am going to get any time soon. And practically, with as little contact as they can get these days, joint practices may really be worth something. Cincinnati is a talented team, this will be good practice.

I was high on Scherff, until the Redskins drafted him, which is usually damning of any highly regarded prospect. If the Redskins thought highly of him, I must have been wrong.

I don't think he really has a right to medical confidentiality from his employer. Those guys are all subject to complete physicals as a condition of employment.

I think it was shortsighted to keep them in the dark. Eventually he will have to take a physical, the team will find out everything sooner or later. And he would have had the benefit of their insight. I can kind of understand feeling cynical, but in this case the cynicism will prove to be self-fulfilling.

Yeah, the fingers don't actually lift anything. Move your hand/fingers and watch the muscles in your forearm move --- you will see that the bigger muscles are actually attached to the outer fingers. I doubt he will lose much grip strength, at least as it applies to weight lifting.

I recall some defensive linemen playing well with full casts over a hand. It isn't necessarily a career killer.

I voted for Young... he took a perennial bottom feeder to two championships. But it was a difficult pick... his last five or so years were brutal.

Well.... I loved the pick. It was naive of me, in retrospect I should have recognized that the Wisconsin OL really created him, but his workouts were good, and hell, physically he was cut out for it... but he was so damn hesitant in the NFL. Definitely not who I thought he was. And I remember MSG going nuts too, so I know I wasn't the only one.
