  1. I understand that way of thinking, but generally teams that have a lot of draft capital tend to have awful rosters after year. A high draft pick, or any draft pick really, has to be so damn good to make a meaningful difference on their own. I don't really blame Gettleman at all, I think the things that went wrong during his tenure, and the latter half of Reese's tenure too, were more about fanboi leadership from the Mara family.
  2. Those were Reese picks.
  3. unpopular opinion: Gettleman was closer to average than awful. I'm not going to die on that hill, but I do think he left the roster slightly better in 2021 than the roster he inherited in 2018. That team was virtually devoid of talent. You had ancient Eli, shit brained Beckham, and 51 polished turds.
  4. His production wasn't bad though. We've seen people with way less production and far weaker measurables get picked very highly.
  5. With a scouting report like that, I’m thinking there must be something off about him. Something off the field or between the ears.
  6. when we drafted OBJ, you know what I said?.... WTF, a kick returner in the top half of the first, FIRE REESE!
  7. Basically nothing. Two late picks. always to commercial when the Giants are picking.
  8. If he could’ve he would’ve. good player when the ball is in the air. So we run at him.
  9. Almost everybody because I didn't pay any attention to the draft until literally yesterday. But I have to second P --- the Centers, the offensive linemen in general, seem to be weak on top end talent.
  10. I loved how SportsCenter would always tell us where Dick Trickle finished. Didn't matter if it was 3rd or 33rd, he'd be on the chyron.
  11. I really like the DL depth in this draft too. There will be some useful talent available in the 2nd and early 3rd. Unfortunately I'd put WR, DB, interior OL, and DL depth, as pretty closely ranked needs.... they don't all need to be stars, just competent.... we can get three in rounds 1-3, not all four.
  12. we were in denial, lol a couple people in there did say we'd pick Jones.... and nobody was excited about it.
  13. yeah, DG pretty much told the whole world DJ would be the pick, and we didn't believe it because Duke, Dave Brown, etc.
  14. we need another body anyway, I don't think a cut is a guarantee. Williams has restructure written all over him.
  15. as it stands now, the starting center is Bredenson or Ezudu. Also, don't sleep on Pio.
  16. I think he's a better player than Slayton, when he's been on the field.
  17. I think he's far and away the best at what he does. I can't think of another nose tackle that can also make plays out there. Standard expectation there is to occupy a couple offensive linemen and let the linebackers feast.
  18. I'll pay you to run out and grab the tee during the kickoff.
  19. The coaching staff would be a disaster, but I have more faith in that front office than I do most NFL front offices.
  20. DUIs for starters. He’s not the guy most teams want as their head coach.
  21. That’s where my head is too. Maybe slightly overpay on a contract with an out after three years, but front load it so we’re working with a relatively low QB cap % the next couple years. keep Saquon, don’t keep him… he’s a nice piece, but teams win without name brand running backs all the time.
  22. I'm not sure I'd go quite that far, lol.
