Its a big hit. he's going on the pup list.
-
He'll probably get $15.5 though $16 is indeed a nice round number. Should lock him up longer than this six year crap though.
He won't get 20 million, but if he got paid in the top 5 player range he deserves it. Guy is a game changer.
-
Revis is solid. If he can get $20 million, more power to him.
-
I'd pass, our linebacker core is solid.
-
Haven't been impressed with him so far.
-
LOL, well do they know JaMarcus Russell is available now off the waivers?
They still are

Must be desperate for a safety.

The New York Giants are beyond one player regardless of who that player is. There are many players who have come and gone and contributed to the tradition of excellence here. What has happened to one is saddening yet cannot be used to judge the rest by. I hope that the evidence provided that has yet to be seen exonerates Lawrence Taylor but I also accept that his possible guilt will tarnish his image further. Everyone deserves a chance but not many get it. Not sure where he stands, just hope that whatever happens goes with the law and not with public opinion.

Looks like the team has decided to use Vasquez as little as possible and only in situations where it won't hurt them in the division. Glad to see the turnaround in Phil Hughes from last season continuing this year.
I don't think too many people are feeling bad for this kid now. He looks as if he is blossoming into the pitcher he has been hyped up to be. He's looking really good. Now if we could just find a pitcher to replace Vasquez. Actually, Javier might do well in the pen in long relief.

I really like Cervelli, stepped in last year and he hasn't disappointed.

I see a lot of you have moved on.

Hope or Pray?
Of all the picks in the draft, this is where I really hope Reese has struck gold.
-
Not surprised by Fewell so far, this is how he operates.
-
Before everyone buys into him like the next coming of Jonas Seawright...Nate has started 3 games at the college level before his senior year. His tackles were mostly at backup. There is a reason why he is a street free agent, he's a college backup. Too small of a nose tackle, might be big enough to be DT and fast enough to be a linebacker.
-
Terribly inconsistent. Only God knew where the ball would land. He kicked about a 20 yarder once as well. No video of that one but I still remember Fassel's face after that one.
-
I boldly declare a new starter will be announced this September at punter.
-
I haven't quite figured out why we need big ole linebackers. Get the small speedy ones that can cover and keep the defensive line big.
-
Just can't understand how he got past Al Davis this year...
-
Drink the cool-aid and enjoy the beginning of the Jonathan Goff era.

I wouldn't say the sky is falling but this was about as bland of a draft I've remotely watched for Reese. Look past positional needs and just look at the players. I see 3 guys who will produce for us this season.
-
They better get re-signed to nice fat six year contracts because when those contracts expire, Pierre-Paul might just be ready to start.
Jesus Christ...less than 3 hours after taking the pick everyones labeling him a bust already.
I wasn't thrilled with the pick (wold rather have drafted Derrick Morgan from GT) but the Giants and scouts front office think this kid can be a special player in the league...guys remember Osi may or may not be on thin ice and Kiwanuka is a free agent after this season.
-
Not happy with this pick as well. Would have taken Lupati in a heartbeat at 15. This kid is a definite bust. I don't care right now that we have other positions in need because he is so raw of a player he can play just about any of them. The worst part is we spend the next couple of years teaching him shit he should already know, and winds up on another team when he's finally NFL quality.
Yeah you can't teach athleticism though. Won't help keeping the bench warm either.

Let me know if you find any evidence showing how he built a super bowl team and wasn't lucky that Jerry Rice still had gas in the tank.
well that would not be logical.
-
I wouldn't give credit to Gruden for building the Raiders that played Dungy in the Super Bowl. Gruden couldn't maintain the team he inherited from Dungy. Gruden just doesn't build super bowl teams, he is however excellent at breaking QBs.
i love how people say gruden took dungy's team to the super bowl
but fail to mention that his raider team was playing him
that means he built one team (under tremendous stress and
meddling from a tyrant owner- most of you would shit your pants
the first time davis talked to you- and they got there with bill callahan as coach!!!)
and prepared the other team
now, i don't want gruden as a head coach
but you don't have to go stat crazy on the guy.
you can easily make a case against coughlin with the same dumb stats. sheesh....
