I forbid you to make any comparison between the Mets and Giants.
The Mets....
The Giants...
Now you know the plight of the Mets fan
-
There be a reckoning coming...
-
Jacobs already does unfortunately he cannot hide behind the offensive linemen as well as Bradshaw can. The season is off to a very nice start.
My Eagles fan buddy loves him, always watches Giants games with me and says how much he wishes he played for the Eagles. During the Tampa playoff game during our SB run, we both fell in love with him, if Jacobs ran with Bradshaws power and determination at the line he'd be unstoppale.
-
Not surprised at all about Manningham. I just wonder who's stepping up next week. I think Hixon just got bumped on the chart if he misses another game or two.
-
Nice idea and one that has worked in the past but it just does not fit what Coughlin and Gilbride want to do with the offense. Ask Shockey about it, he has an opinion or two about that.
-
He's been getting better every year, that is what franchise QB's do.
-
Injuries happen and I wouldn't use that as an excuse for losing a game. Aaron Ross thought he was ok and it turns out he still wasn't ready. He could have sat all preseason and then come up lame on the first game of the season, or play horribly because he wasn't in football shape. I don't blame anyone for Ross or Canty being hurt, rather have this dealt with now rather than later.
-
You do understand he was playing a different role and one of the reasons why Demarcus Ware picked up 20 sacks. Chris Canty was the second best DT on the market and at 26 years old and coming into his prime, an excellent free agent signing. Don't get all caught up with money and pro bowl appearances.
That's what I mean. We paid him "Pro Bowl," "sackmaster," etc. money, and he's a run-stuffing (i.e. dime-a-dozen) DT. We probably could have gotten a guy that'll do a similar job on the cheap.... Canty isn't worth Tuck money... sorry, he's just not. It was a weak DT market and we overpaid for the guy.
I hope I'm wrong... but five sacks playing next to Demarcus Ware? :wtf:

Looks like Sheridan can indeed run the defense, when are you getting on his bandwagon?
-
LOL
Its a contract year, he'll be healthy all season and have 40 catches for 600 yards and 8 TDs.
You're crazy.
He'll have 'turf toe' 3:59 into the 1st qtr Sunday, sending him to IR for the rest of the season. However, he will have 9 catches for 157 yards and 2 TD's in those 4 minutes, thus securing him a spot on next years roster.
-
RB's are a dime a dozen and if Patrick Allen and/or Dwayne Wright makes through the waivers they'll probably get put on the practice squad. They can always promote someone up from the practice squad in a pinch. There isn't a set number of RB's Coughlin needs, it just so happened that there were 5 better RB then lets say 3 QB's.
IMO, there is no possible way that we go into the season with just 3 running backs and 1 fullback. Wright stays because he can also be a running back in a pinch. Consider last year we carried 5 running backs AND Hedgecock (Jacobs, Ward, Bradshaw, Ware, and Droughns), for 6 backs total. No way Coughlin is going into the season with just 4.... 5 I can see.
However, I still think somehow Hagan makes it. But it's hard to make room. I think it has to come from the Offensive Line. I can't say they would cut Tutan Reyes, but maybe he goes to Practice Squad. Other than that, we could be looking at somewhat of a surprise cut from Whimper, Boothe, or Koets.
-
Any particular reason why they think that logo wasn't added in photoshop?
-
Don't see us carrying two fullbacks. Matthews is the better blocking tight end and he can play FB., that is why he stays and Johnson goes.
-
I'd put them both in the other category because you can easily make the argument that Jay Cutler belongs up there with them.
What's wrong with that statement? Brees is a passing juggernaut. Rivers led the NFL in QB rating this year, and was very close to a SuperBowl appearance two years ago.
I think they are both superstars. I think Eli will be widely considered in that class after this year as well. I already think he's a superstar.
-
Drew Brees and Philip Rivers are the superstar QBs?
Quarterbacks with no holes in their games who have demonstrated anability to carry their teams. They are a championship ring away fromjoining Manning and Brady among the elite. There's no game plan theseguys can't beat.
-
He's already asked. Too bad you can't make a career out of being a fourth string backup WR.
If Moss was smart, he'd ask to be traded. I can't see this ending well and he could at least make someone's roster before the season starts. I mean, have we ever seen a guy been led by the nose over the years like this. It's nothing personal against the guy, he just needs a new direction. His Giant career has been an abject failure and an embarrassment.
-
Kinda bothers me to see a player get thrown away when he wants to stay in the game. Really wish he would retire and move on.
-
Such a bad idea only a fan could come up with it.
-
Top 15 maybe?
He plays a pretty important role. Maybe not top 10, but pretty damn important.
-
Man I love how everyone can sit back and over analyze this and come up with conclusions and decide on the culprits, victims and solutions.
-
Never seen so many people talk about the kicker before. Seriously lets rate the importance of the NFL kicker to his team. Is he even in the top 10?
-
Maybe Moss can help us with our frustrations with him.
-
If he was four inches taller there would be a line around the stadium to give him handjob.
Unfortunately he is still the short guy making good plays for the last couple of years.
Although TT, is better overall, it baffles me how someone cannot be happy with Dockery. The guy fills in very well, and the whiff you're speaking of are few and far in between.
-
Sounds like a job for Brian Dawkins.
That's a class A jerk, right there. They should just suspend him. I wouldn't even say anything to him. Just let him do a couple more stupid things for documentation purposes, then lay down the hammer.
I'd bet that even if they played him, he would purposefully screw up and not even consider his teammates. Somebody in that locker room (a player) needs to step up and give him a little not so friendly advice.

I just don't think he's a leader when the shit hits the fan. When the good times are rolling, so is he. When the team is well playing like it is now, he sinks and looks around for someone else to step up.
Everyone complained about the awe shucks look Eli gave you, but he gave you that same attitude when he won as well.
