Best idea so far:confused:
how bout jauron as a coordinator? he was coughlins DC at jacksonville

Can you guys just start and pin a thread with the headline of "1 round pick should be a MLB"
Its only the same thread reposted every single year.
-
They wouldn't make that trade for 4 first round picks.
I hope Goff emerges as a somewhat decent MLB because Blackburn is pretty much worse then Pierce...then again thats not saying much.
I really fucking hope we draft the best MLB in next years draft...or trade our next three number one picks to the 49ers for Willis.

I hold my opinion till the end of the season when I can make a half-assed conclusion. Sheridan is having a tough time trying to solve these late game comebacks. We're also having problems shutting teams down in the red zone. We can only guess things would be better under Spagnuolo and fortunately he is not here to prove otherwise or else we'd be back to "WE HAVE NO TALENT ON DEFENSE" threads.
I think the problem goes beyond Sheridan so far and I don't think he is the problem. I don't like watching our pass rushers drop back into coverage, but Tuck has managed to do a decent job of it and I wouldn't call that a horrible use of talent.
-
ACTUALLY, nobody said Tollefson should be starting. Jack pointed out he wasn't being rotated in.
I think the problem is at tackle as well.
-
Definitely going to be Blackburn in at MLB. Now does he become the other scapegoat for the team?
-
Shanahan would probably take the job. Can't possibly do worse. Would be kinda sad to see Gilbride go take the job, who'd be our scapegoat?
-
Ok which one of you hacked Jack's account and made this thread?
only Dallas is one game ahead of us, and our division record is ok
we win, we make the playoffs
all things are possible
but the team needs to show a lot more heart and smarts this week

The Mets have a fatal flaw that money cannot fix.
-
I wouldn't mind keeping either at half price. Damon gets things going and Matsui can still swing a bat. While they both can make plays, we definitely need to get younger. I'm betting they are both going to be allowed to walk and the Yankees pickup another smart old outfielder. Mauer is the free agent to get down the road and he won't come cheap. I did hear an interesting idea thrown around about trading Chamberlain this offseason.
-
I won't blame the playcalling entirely for the losses. It comes down to poor execution by both starters and players forced into the role of being starters. C.C. Brown was one lemon of a signing. Unfortunate that we've been missing Boley, Canty, Ross to injuries early on.
What we do on offense and defense is really no different than anyone else. Teams go out there with a game plan and its the same thing they do week in and week out all season long. Its still a good team that is well coached so this will be fixed.
-
So when we're winning the coaches are fine and when we're losing we're old and behind the times.
-
I'm glad he explained it, was at a bar watching the game and couldn't hear it.
-
I'm confused about how we got screwed. We didn't want Matthews and had an opportunity to get something for him. We didn't and everyone moves on.
-
You gotta trust the judgment of the medical staff and the player. They know what they can and cannot do. I don't think there is a single starter in the NFL playing at 100% after the first week but they get out there and get it done.
-
LOL C.C. Brown
He was in on damn near every bad play we had on defense.
Yes not the fault of the offense. Yes I wish we had the time to run the ball. Yes it looked like Shaun Williams on defense. Yes we miss our wounded.
In other news... with the Eagles losing to the Raiders, both teams have now been asked to leave the NFL.

Don't concern yourself with yards when things are going right. Jacobs isn't frustrated with his production, just the criticism. There is nothing wrong with the playcalling, or we would be 0-5. Take the 5-0 and don't worry about the 3.6 until we have a problem. There are definitely other things to be concerned about.
-
There be no room on this thread for common sense Tree. They are busy ripping him.
Bradshaw is 5'9" 198 lbs. Jacobs is 6'4" 264 lbs. Physics dictates they have two completely different running styles. You simply can't measure one against the other.
-
He was inexperienced coming back from being hurt and people had their expectations set too high.
He WAS terrible early on. The guy's improved dramatically, no one questions that.
-
So where are all those threads about how horrible he was before the super bowl and where are the people who had that opinion? Switched bandwagons eh?
-
I'm counting that as one of the five touchdowns i predicted Moss would score when he re-signs with the Giants for a $40 million 5 year deal.
-
So 17 NFL players thing Eli Manning is overrated. Eli is going to have a hard time sleeping with all the worrying he is going to do thinking about these 17 players.
-
Probably not. So yeah where's Craig Dahl? Spags picked him up on his way to St. Louis.
Everyone take their expectations of what the defense would be like with Kenny Phillips in it and now bring it down to your expectations of the Giants defense with Shaun Williams in it.
Yes that is what our secondary now looks like. The occasional big hit followed by 16 games of Rouse chasing the play 15 yards away.
-
I'm more concerned about Kenny Phillips long term now. How well is he bouncing back from this a year or two years from now and can he? Should have been more aggressive in looking into his knee and the swelling than deciding just to manage it through the NFL season.
Besides the coaching staff...I think I know whats wrong with the Giants
in New York Giants

I think its the fans, speaks volumes when a team would rather win on the road than at home. They don't like getting stuck in traffic either.
