Burress is full of shit. First, he is not even the tallest Giant, he is 6-5, both Boss, Kevin & McKenzie, Kareem are 6-6. Second, Brady, Kyle & Seymour, Richard & O'Callaghan, Ryan & Britt, Wesley are all taller than him. The tallest player on the field will be Britt at 6-8.

I know the onion is satire. Of course the media is blowing it out of proportion. The media blows everything out of proportion. How many stories have we heard about the Patriots filming the Jets defensive coordinator was filmed from the wrong location. The rule that was broken wasn't the filming, but the location of the camera. But if we don't blow it out of proportion there is no story. Same deal with Burress, Anna Grant (the Pats girl the Colts booed), Romo's trip to Mexico. etc.

Not sure about that analysis. If I was the coach of the Giants I would want to repeat the first three quarters.... the fourth quarter was the problem one for the Giants.

FYI - Here is Tom Brady's reaction. I said basically the same thing earlier. Nothing wrong with predicting your team to win. But the Pats will score more than 17, and the Giants will need more than 23 to win. Brady Doesn't Think Much of Plaxico's PredictionPHOENIX -- Tom Brady scoffed. Okay, some of that was just me trolling. And I don't expect either team to stink up the joint. But if Brady goes out there and has the worst game of his life, throws 9 ints on 11 attempts -- he will be the starting QB next year. No ifs ands or buts. Welker could drop every ball thrown to him and he will be excused. The fans will be pissed, but 99.9% of the fan base is going to defend the team as having a bad game, nobody will be calling for anybodies head. Everybody has just played too good for too long, not to excuse one bad game. If the Giants stink up the joint. Say Eli throws 6 ints. What will the NY reaction be? Will it be? a) The bum had 4 good games but he is still as inconsistent a piece of shit. Trading away Rivers was stupid. -or- b) It kinda sucks we lost, but heck everybody who has played NE has lost. Eli is coming along, he had a bad game, but overall he had a great post-season run. Couple or more years. Eli will be considered better then Peyton. BTW: I hope it would be the second. So nobody is going to be calling for Eli to be benched or Tom be fired, if the Pats put up 63-0 on the Giants on Sunday?

If this game was must win, not on your life. But that game was just a record too. Pats had clinched the #1 seed weeks ago. So BB was probably a bit more willing to give his QB and #1 WR a little room to play and have fun. Plus BB isn't the one who decides which receiver the ball is thrown to -- Tom makes that decision. And had Tom and Randy broke the record, and the Patriots lost the game b/c Tom was forcing the ball to Randy, it would put BB in an ideal position to refocus the team. "Congrats Tom, Congrats Randy. Broke the [expletive] record. But lost the [expletive] game. Nice celebration in the end zone Randy. That only cost 7 [expletive] points. Look its not about records or an undefeated season, but we can't play stupid football in the post season....."

One difference between this game and week 17, is the Patriots only have one goal -- win. Week 17 they had two goals win AND throw two TD's to Moss. And the Giants knew that, which made it easier to defend. Actually late in the season, several teams focused on Moss because of the records and that did hurt the offense. Once that record was broken, shutting down Moss has not been very effective (see Jax playoff game).

The whole matching suits is way over analyzed. Could them dressing alike help slightly with team unity, yeah sure. But the Patriots didn't win in 2001, b/c the player ran out of the tunnel without the players being named. They won because they played better. And team unity is important. And when Giant players are asked about a comment made by Burress and respond, "he said what?" that doesn't create team unity.
