  1. Yankees are gonna pick him up to DH hopefully.
  2. ??? Must-win tomorrow for Burnett.. Hopefully the "Who's your Daddy Chants" ring in Pedro's ears... Is it just me, or is Cliff Lee a cocky bastard? That no-look arm outstretched catch reeked of douchebagness, as did his little shrug and smile after catching that Cano liner up the middle.... I wanted to punch his lights out. Damn though, what a pitching performance... Hughes has been stinking it up... I have no confidence in Joba or Aceves to get big outs in the 7th or 8th... Mo can't go 2 every game... Phil better get his shit together and quick. Last and not least, the offense needs to WAKE UP... I understand a bad game against an incredible pitcher, but c'mon... Nobody has been consistently driving the ball this entire postseason other than A-Rod... Its gonna be a long winter if Tex, Posada, and Matsui don't start driving the ball to the gaps and over the fences. That is all.
  3. All 6 Parts are on youtube, not sure if this has been mentioned... I watch this about once a week, its awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnfbMSbrlAA
  4. if sliding is faster how come you never see marathon runners at the olympics slide at the finish line head first?
  5. I think this team has the best chance since '04
  6. Look I like Cervelli too, but lets not get crazy here. He's never going to be 1/5th the offensive catcher Posada is and probably won't ever hit enough to be a serviceable starter in the majors. That being said, I think he can be a could second option for years to come on the Yankees.
  7. Check out those knockers at 1:59 oh and looks like a cool movie too
  8. Matsui > Cervelli though. I love Cervelli's hustle and all that, hopefully next year Jorge can DH for good, Matsui will be gone and Cervelli can catch full time. Until then, Cervelli should be playing everyday down at AAA.
  9. I agree that Jorge calls a fine game, but there are ways to call good games, if there wasn't why would some pitchers have personal catchers? Moose only wanted Molina to catch him last year if I remember correctly and Maddux always had a PC as well.
  10. This guy is awesome... Can work on the hitting a bit, but handles the staff well, and just seems like an unselfish scrappy guy. He is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. :worshippy:
  11. Its amazing how the Yankees could have the best record in MLB in the past month, get swept by the Red Sox and the city is back in panic-mode. Relax everyone.
  12. Keep Hughes to replace Tomko as the long man.. Seriously what the fuck is Brett Tomko doing on the Yankees? Hughes has proven he can dominate the minors, there is no point in him being down there...
  13. Haha yep, too bad Manny brought all his goodies with him on the way out the door. Kind of hilarious that Brett Gardner has more HR's than David Ortiz.
  14. He always struggles pre-all star break.
  15. Zone ratings are the only way to accurately judge fielders. Fielding Percentage punishes players with superior ranges getting to balls and possibly making mistakes on them that lesser fielders would not even get their glove on.
  16. I'd rather start Damon in center, Nady in left, and Swisher in right then have Gardner or Melky sniff 400 ABs.
  17. Swisher has excellent defense from the corners and is an average CFer. With his bat he would be a huge upgrade over Gardner or Melky, any loss in defense would be more than made up in his offense.
  18. Lifted from www.nomaas.org, good little tidbit on why Nick Swisher should be the Yankees starting outfielder:
  19. To add to that list, Desean Jackson worked out pretty well for the Eagles last year.
  20. Even with the testing the past few years, which includes one of his two legitimate MVPs? Even when he was a skinny little kid in his years in Seattle? His present physique looks like a pretty natural progression from his younger days.
