  1. If you adjust for the fact that Texas is a hitters paradise, A-Rods stats on steroids ( of course assuming that he used for only those 3 years) are not that much different than his career norm. It is extremely hard to say that A-Rod owes his success to steroids and should not make the hall... At the end of his career if you take 150 HR's off his resume, he will probably still be HOF worthy. I think this is actually going to HELP A-Rod pressure wise- he reportedly knew about this failed test since it occurred, and it was probably hovering over him all this time (imagine getting that off your chest). Is A-Rod truly sorry? Probably not, he's sorry he got caught. It still takes a lot of guts to admit it and this will help him in the end.
  2. Well, it depends on what a lot of other WR stuff happens. I guess its just nice to know that Holt could be had in case everything else falls through... I don't think any of us want to go into next year without Plax and without picking up some sort of proven WR.
  3. You could be right that it was his fault he only had 796 yards, or it could be the fact he was on an awful team with an awful QB behind an awful offensive line.

  5. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...8939&id=412 Third round pick, not too bad... Put up a shitty season but had nothing around him, he's getting up there in age but I wouldn't be upset if the Giants picked up him via trade.
  6. Nah, I'm pretty sure Plax would've done twice the job blocking that Hixon did, who knows how many more yards that would've opened up on some runs. In the passing game Plax would have at least stopped the Eagles from over committing to the run.
  7. Trade the entire draft for either Fitzgerald or Boldin...I'd be so damn happy to have one of them on this team, too bad it'll probably never happen.
  8. Probably the most entertaining game would be something like Chargers-Cardinals. Lots of scoring and bright-colored uni's. The only reason to tune into the SB this year will be to listen to the Boss though.
  9. This loss hurts, but not as much as other playoff losses... If you find yourself going nuts, just do what I do and think about last year and how that can never be taken away... This was a great follow-up season that proved the Giants will be contenders for years. The Eagles deserved to win this game, they simply wanted it more. Now everyone lets get behind the Cardinals as they are in my opinion the best story to win the SB (other then the Giants repeating of course).
  10. This loss comes down to three things... Gilbride, Plaxico, and Eli's inability to play in the conditions of his own stadium.
  11. i take it back..this game isint over... The Giants are gonna make it 20-18, stop the Eagles, then Eli will lead a drive and Carney will hit a GW field goal to send us to the NFC championship game... Watch it happen.
  12. mad good deal, swisher is gonna loosen up so much shit in the yankee clubhouse, hit .260, 20-26 HRS and a .370 OBP... Even better that this frees up some money for Sabathia... Don't have to waste it on Texieria now.
  13. yes i realize that... I was proving a point in my response. It does not matter how many homegrown players a team simply has, it matters how GOOD their homegrown players perform in helping that team win games.
  14. so if a team calls up its entire AAA team to play every game and pitch every inning that means they have a good minor league system because all the players on their team were from within the organization?
  15. Who the hell marks contributions by IP? Livan Hernandez pitched 150 or so innings for Minnesota this year... Great contribution right? No, his ERA and WHIP were astronomical, as were Hansen's. I never said Hughes or Kennedy contributed this year... Any Yankee fan will tell you they absolutely did not because they stunk. Same goes for Clay... dude had a few solid starts to begin the year but obviously wasn't ready to pitch. Its very dubious when you use these guys in your arguments to applaud the Red Sox minor league system. Just because a team was stupid enough to keep giving a player from their system chances through ABS and innings does NOT mean they contributed positively to the team..
  16. LOL you call what Craig Hansen did this year a contribution? I stopped reading after that.
  17. Dan Giese is going to get the first start, then they will go from there. Hopefully the Yankees can catch lightning in the bottle and have an Aaron Small part II situation going on here with Giese.
  18. Yea, that balk was ridiculous. I wouldnt care normally, but Lincecum's on my fantasy squad.
  19. Yeah, I made the trade. I thought it was a no-brainer also, but I just wanted to make sure. Team is doing pretty solid, in second place so far but there is a long way to go. Hows your team going?
  20. Old thread, but I was just offered Victorino and Jered Weaver for Liriano- Should I pull the trigger?
