Burns is a top 10 guy metric wise from what I've read. It's where I'd probably stick him as a pass rusher as well top 15 in the NFL. I think this contract in two years is going to look like the normal for players like him at a premium position. Think of Dexs contract. He was the highest paid DT for what? Two days. When guys like Hutcheson and Parsons get paid Burns will be down as well. It's to note as well Burns is only 25, he basically get him at him prime instead of getting someone near the end of their career.

Kirk is a good QB like Stafford is. But he hasn't done anything in the playoffs which is basically what QBs are measured by now a days. If Marino was in the game he'd be getting slammed too.

However I won't be disappointment with a playmaker or DB round 1. Some second round QBs worth noting.in the draft.

I have a feeling it's McCarthy pending a fall from any of the other QBs. Trot Jones or some FA QB out for the year, let the new Oline gel and go through the growing pains. McCarthy steps in year two with a revamped Oline. WRs are a dime a dozen in the draft now, and they are all pro ready.

Reading about the contract deals it's very front heavy this year. 40+ million this year. 65+ over the first two years and 90 million over the last three. Schoen knew this season is abit of a wash with the QB situation and the rebuild so he stacked the contract this year to ease the next four. The son of a bitch. He's a mad man.

Texans fans are pretty upset over this one. Was a saftey outlet for Stroud being a good pass catcher out of the backfield. Plus one of those workhorses who will just grind out the yards. Might not have that breakaway and get a TD gear, but will pop a 10 yard scamper here and there.

Guys one of the primer pass rushers in the NFL, he's going to be making 17-20 million a year base IMO.

Maybe Schoen and Dabs plan is to just force three and outs every drive and hope the offense can muster a TD or two.
