Sephiroth
From most accounts Peppers can cover too. Maybe every TE won't have a career high in catches and yards against us each week.
gmenroc
If Peppers lights up Beckham coming across the middle some day after all the post trade bullshit Beckham has spewed...it will all be okay with me. But I'm officially done commenting on the guy.

From what I've read Peppers and Collins have rated the same coverage wise, Collins problem coming from he doesn't have the speed to cover TEs/WRs at full stride, and Peppers having a lot of trouble biting on play action or misdirection plays. Sephiroth
Collins had a 68.2 coverage grade and Peppers had a 77.3 so hopefully it's a significant upgrade.

mastershake
What's a good coverage grade? An average and poor one as well? I don't follow PFF so I have no context.

For a frame of reference they tie out roughly to school letter grades. The elite players are generally in the 90s. 77 is like a C or D, 68 is a D or F. And under 60 is quite poor, like a replacement level player.
