Also, there's nothing about Beason. We need to give that guy a reasonable offer. He's a leader the likes of which we haven't had at LB since Jesse Armstead and/or Antonio Pierce, and clearly makes everyone around him better.

I agree with your assessment Seph. Especially on Beason who has proven his worth in spades.

I don't know how it works when you cut a player that is still under contract. For instance, do we get any savings by waiving Snee and Baas?

I know they have guaranteed contracts, but there must be some savings if they are cut off the team. Just wondering.

All the bolded players should be cut imo. As far as the FAs, at the right price they can stay.

Pretty sure Jacobs' career is over. I like Linval Joseph a lot, but he's not coming back "at the right price".

I want to cut the players that are pulling in a King's Ransom, but if we don't save any money by cutting them, then we pretty much have to keep them on the team...especially Rolle. Would be dumb to pay Rolle more than 9 million dollars to watch the game on TV with his girlfriend's head in his lap.

Not listed is

McBride

Paysinger

Rogers

Patterson

Hillis

Brown

James

Herzlich

Yeah...I copied/pasted from KFFL which is a little behind.

Paysinger, Herzlich, and Hynoski are RFA's. McBride, Brown, Hillis, etc., are UFA's

Also, Mundy is a UFA that we should definitely resign

try to sign joseph unless he's too expensive. try to sign beason unless he wants too many years. sign stevie brown who will be cheap. keep pascoe, mcbride and mundy. the rest can go but knowing these front office clowns they'll probably bring back all 3 o-linemen. i can live with boothe and thomas being brought back for cheap but tell thomas to keep his mouth shut next season.

andre brown might've played himself into a nice contract. never sign veteran rbs. he was one of my favorites and i wish him the best.

eli obviously needs to restructure. i like rolle and cutting him costs 2 mil but i don't think it makes a ton of sense to keep him if we are tearing the whole thing down (which i think we should) and we'll gain back 7 mil. i doubt management/coaching wants to tear it all down though so they will probably restructure which i'm fine with, he's a good player and a team leader we can be proud of

we're stuck with kiwi. his dead money would be over 5 mil and we'd only save a little under 2 mil. cut him next year

cut myers (+3.25 mil), webster (+1 mil), baas after june 1st (+5 mil), brewer (750k), robinson (650k, 750k). snee should do the right thing by grandpa and retire but if he exercises that option then cut him (+7 mil). that's 1/5th of the likely cap number next year right there

tender paysinger. don't tender herzlich, hynoski or cordle.

extend prince. im sick of letting our top players go into their walk year. it's a fucking joke, no other teams do this with their #1 picks who produce for them. on the other side of the coin, let JPP earn his money next year. he has a vested option after that anway, no rush.

I like Hillis a lot... he gave our running game an attitude and ran like BJ should have been running all his life. I think the treo of Brown, Wilson, & Hillis will be very good for us with Cox serving as the 4th for one of them gets injured... or Cox shines and moves up the ladder.

Most of those will walk anyway, except for Brown

Mook and Hosley are the only two CB's under contract next year, Webster has a voidable year. I think we resign T2. This is a pretty big issue though. I think the draft focus should be CB.

i agree. we need to be 3-4 deep with quality corners

The Giants should just cut their losses.

I agree - but it takes a year of hell before they can really feel the benefits of cleaning house because there is so much guaranteed money (dead money) that still counts against the cap.

Can we bear another year like this year waiting for the benefits to kick in during the 2015 season? I doubt I can take another year like this....although, as a lifelong Knicks fan, I've learned to deal with huge disappointments in my teams.

The thing is...if we could simply shore up the o-line and Eli would get his head out of his ass and suddenly decide he wants to go out as a legend (for good reasons), we could actually contend next year. And our defense is actually not that bad.
