Yes, 300 yards is not nearly as impressive as it once was. Likewise for a 1000 yd WR, that should be bumped to 1200 yds.

On the other hand, a 1000 yd RB is still quite a feat.

And just a couple years ago I remember reading the 1200 yard barrier as the new mark for running backs. Amazing how the league goes through phases. Though all stats seem to be on an upward trend.

It's just the NFL and it's shifting/copy cat trend.

Teams are drafting more and more athletic QBs who can pass and run, making teams leave LBs closer to the line of scrimmage, leaving WRs and TEs in more man v man coverage.

TEs are basically WRs now who can throw a decent block if they need too.

The days of big mauling O-line is a thing of the past as guys like Joe Thomas, Ryan Clady who are fast althelitc lineman who can pass block and run these fast moving zone block schemes.

Offenses are getting faster every year and smaller, it's no surprise that they can put up the numbers they have. However once teams start to build smaller and fast defenses (like the Seahawks) then I imagine we will see the trend swing back the other way when some team builds some mauling O-line that can run for 300 yards a game and control the clock.
